@pn_neil_allen: Brown: 'Have the council written a cheque? No. Might they? They might do but they won't go public. Don't write them off.' #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: Brown: 'Birch will look at all bids and if he considers a bid better for the long term then he can take it to the court'. #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: Meeting comes to a close. @pompeytrust thanks around 120 people who turned up. #Pompey #pst

@pn_neil_allen: Brown: 'We have to be in a position to have a credible proposal in front of Birch by end of May.......' #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: .......'Not a final offer but something that makes him feel it is worth holding off for another week or so'. #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: Trapani: 'High Net Worth individuals are Pompey supporters. In many cases sums north of £100,000. One talking about £500,000.' #Pompey #pst

@pn_neil_allen: Brown on working with BC: 'We come from such different sides it would be difficult to find middle ground.... #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: ......He has an aim to take around £10m out over next few years, whereas we want to keep money in the football club.' #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: Brown: 'We have regular conversations with FL and it is fair to say I would probably bet they would pass BC again for FPP' #Pompey #pst

@pn_neil_allen: Brown: 'We are currently in talks with 5 high net worth people from the city over putting in various six-figure sums'. #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: Taylor: 'We have a 3-4 year plan to make enough profit in order to pay the money owed to PKF'. #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: Brown: 'BC bid does not mean we are completely blown out of the water. @pn_neil_allen: Been told there were around 20 new pledges made in meeting earlier in the day. Trust very encouraged. #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: Mick Williams: I am very concerned for the future of this club. We are intending to put in a bid to buy club for the community #Pompey #pst @pn_neil_allen: Ashley Brown: Unfortunately certain details we are unable to talk about. A NDA and certain things we say could damage the bid. #Pompey #pst

Wrong side of the bed this morning DD? :-) I firmly believe that Adkins will put a 'youngster' on the bench every game. How else will we achieve the medium term aim of getting 50% of the academy originated players into the matchday squad?
-
Cheers. So, in other words, he'll sail through the FAPP test on a technicality (or two) rather than on moralistic grounds? (said Trousers rhetorically)
-
"List"? Doesn't that imply more than on player will be retained...? :-)

Are there no grounds for 'conflict of interests' when the largest creditor on the CVA panel decides to mount a bid for the company? Or is that simply tough luck for the other (minority) stakeholders?

Oops... MLG 473 Saints Web Forum 1 :-)

"Former Portsmouth owner Balram Chainrai" Former owner? I thought it had been concluded (on here) that Chainrai had never actually owned the club as such before now? (i.e. he had simply been the financier for other so called 'owners'? I recall asking recently how Chainrai could expect to pass the FL's FPPT test having been at the helm when Pompey went into administration last time, only to be told that he wasn't actually the owner back then, hence he couldn't be seen as a 'serial offender' So, how come the BBC labelled him as "former owner"? Either he's a "previous owner" or he isn't....and if he is then, surely, the Football league have to question his suitablity as an owner going forward....? Or is that all a bit too logical for our friends at the Football League?
-
So, the most amusing scenario looks like coming to fruition. Nice one :-) Over to the Football League to decide whether they want to keep their rabied patient alive another season or put them out of their misery....

@rangerstaxcase: Article on possible SPL sanctions for RFC(IA)/RFC-newco http://t.co/eMnWBja9 - but Neil Doncaster has a problem with logical reasoning... @rangerstaxcase: Neil Doncaster: Sees no difference between shedding debt via CVA or via newco. In CVA, creditors agree. In newco it is forced on them. Anyone hear the ringing of distant bells...?
