I guess we should all be praising the Tories for keeping taxes high, against their natural instincts, given high taxes are a good thing...?
-
I guess what he's getting at is that the Tories have had to keep taxes higher than they would ideologically like to, whereas a more socialiast leaning government would have an idiological inclination towards maintaining a bigger state system...? Isn't that the fundamental difference between the underlying Conservative and Labour philosophies, the implementation of which is often hampered by circumstances?

Stop moaning FFS!

A few non-career threatening injuries to Leeds players wouldn't go amiss now...

As long as said charity box is nowhere near Fratton Park...

Amazing what can be achieved when you keep going at the opposition after taking a lead rather than taking one's foot off the pedal...
-
-
Yeah, I would too of course...was somewhat tongue-in-cheek.... but I've seen Saints throw away too many leads over the last few years to feel comfortable at 2-0 up in the first half
-
Here's hoping we don't go 2 nil up after 20 minutes... Far too early in the game to feel safe as a Saints fan! #scartissue

Indeed. Tomorrow is no time for a risk averse approach

<MLG MODE> If he's that vital for the final then by logical extension he's equally vital for tomorrow's 'semi final'....

Yeah, it had that vibe about it

It's as close to me getting off the fence as you're ever likely to see...

I never claimed it was, you numpty. (No offence). Try reading what people actually say. (Or get one of your consortium members to do it for you) #missingthepointentirely

RM: "Che Adams is in a much better place than he was. We'll see if he's ready for tomorrow" (when asked about Che's fitness and likelihood of playing tomorrow) Hmm....

It's the Post Office's Chief Information Officer's turn to testifiy today.... Jesus... are there any senior/executive managers out there that actually do anything over and above hiding behind delegation and/or 'lack of recall'...? If I'd have known 30 years ago how seemingly piss easy it is to be a senior/executive manager I'd have set my career goals much higher up the management ladder! Just bask in all the plaudits (and 6 or 7 figure bonuses) when things go well, but shirk responsibility and shrug sholuders, with hollow corporate-ese apologies, when things go tits up. Edit: I'm watching this morning's hearing on catch-up and she (the CIO) started crying when reminded of a Subpostmaster who had to cash in her pension to pay for an £18,000 shortfall... maybe there is some compassion amongst ex-POL senior management afterall...

Yep, I've always said that. I'd even go to 30 seconds. That's plenty of time to work out if there's a "clear and obvious" error.
