  1. I've had a Gaggia Classic for many years now. Perfect espresso coffee every time. Fairly pricey though (c.£250 rings a bell) http://www.gaggia.com/index.asp
  2. Any non-trivial reason why Scotland couldn't be in a different time-zone to England? Win win, surely?
  3. - Squeezed £12m - £15m out of Arsenal for a 17 year old who had only played half a season in the third tier of English football - Annoyed the sports editor of a Rupert Murdoch newspaper - Oversaw the winning of the first silver wear the club had won since 1976 - Introduced sensible pricing policies on tickets, car parking etc to ensure the club can be self sustaining financially
  4. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/20111027/adkins-ready-for-inventive-middlesbrough_2264122_2496357/0,,10280~2496357~1,00.html Yes, but did you notice Lallana was nowhere to be seen on the somewhat extensive footage of yesterday's training session? Either he's fit and was excluded from the footage to put doubt in Middlesborough's minds, or, equally he could be unfit to even train but Adkins is talking up his chances. Either way, Saints are playing their usual "guess if he's playing" game to the opposition. Which isn't a bad thing. I also noticed the camera was focused on Ward-Prowse a lot.....a slot on the bench for him perhaps....?
  5. Source?
  6. Delusion?
  7. Just a thought, could it be something 'daft' like the screen has stopped working? Maybe boot it up when connected to an external monitor. Clutching at straws I know....
  8. That's it....spoil people's fun why don't you? You've got to appreciated some of us don't get out much.
  9. I've also got a feeling it could be finals weekend on Celebrity Masterchef
  10. It's a step in the right direction but not as good as castration
  11. Halloween party season.
  12. Create a free recovery disk with a different operating system on it and boot up using that - I used Kaspersky last time I needed to do something similar. That should rule out (or in) a problem with Windows at least
  13. Anyone else thinking of a 4 letter fruit?
  14. Good spot ....and against a team that plays in red at home. Not good.
  15. Twenty five thousand people watching a 2nd tier English football game between two teams 300 miles apart with only 8 Saturdays to go before Christmas at the back end of half-term holidays in Hampshire in the middle of the most significant austerity measures since 1939? That would be an excellent turn out in the circumstances...
  16. Hmmm....so we only lose home games played on the 29th of the month then.....? ;-)
  17. Davis Richardson - Fonte - Hooiveld - Fox Chaplow - Schneiderlin - Cork - Guly Lambert - Connolly Bart, Hammond, Lallana, De Ridder, Barnard
  18. When I was born, I was the 3,554,032,633rd person alive on Earth and the 77,605,675,367th person to have lived since history began
  19. Shell of a nut
  20. You read that Daily Mail article today too?
  21. Probability dictates that we will eventually lose a game at home. I fear probability may well strike this weekend.
  22. Isn't this a bit like asking a Muslim for his favourite pork dish?
  23. I used to listen to 'TalkRadio' avidly before it dumbed down to 'TalkSport'. Used to listen to the likes of Jeremy Beadle, Tommy Boyd, Ian Collins, James Whale and Mike Allen late at night (and on LBC before TalkRadio). Absolute legends. There doesn't seem to be any decent 'Talk' stations out there anymore....unless anyone can recommend one???
  24. Fair point. I think that was the one hole in last night's approach to the game. Adkins admitted as much himself in the post match interview. That said, we ended up losing due to a couple of errors at the back, not due to a lack of firepower up front (yes, the lack of the latter makes it difficult to win, but isn't the reason for a defeat per se)
