It's only 'more serious' if they can't find someone to pay the bills. It could be 'more serious' than ours in terms of scale and breadth of debt but we didn't have a penny to rub together to pay a small cheque where as P*mpey seem to find someone to stump up £10m here and there to bail them out each time. Not really comparing apples with apples I guess.

Perhaps Rupert has got a part time job in the HMRC.....

What percentage of HMRC wind up petitions end up in actual company wind ups? Roughly? Just trying to work out if this is just a run-of-the-mill shot across the bows by the tax man or whether it is something that more often than not signals the beginning of the end?

no, of course I'm not suggesting that they would be basing their January transfer policy on one game. I'm simply suggesting that it may sway their decision slightly towards one direction. My only assumption is that they are human and influenced by events on a day by day basis. More of a compliment than 'discourteousness' IMO. Cheers
