  2. It's only taken this forward thinking country of ours 150 years to work that one out. Good grief. Makes you proud to be British.

  17. Good question....alas, one without a simple and transparent answer I'd venture...unless Mr Scooby would like to prove me wrong of course....
  18. I don't think it's been pulled as such....it just goes through a pre-release stage (i.e. it's indexed but not published)....they'll just be waiting for the powers that be to give the nod to press the 'publish' button....unless Norwich sneak up on the rails of course....
  19. Great minds thinking alike again....I edited my post as you were quoting me....
  20. Indeed. The OS wouldn't have prepared an article and put it on the 'pending release' pile unless it was happening. They do this a lot with breaking stories.... edit: unless of course they've partially 'leaked' the article to rattle Norwich's cage one more time....? Nah...that would be far too sneaky....
  21. Indeed, but typically 'before' or 'after' the event rather than 'during' though. Was just wondering (semi tongue-in-cheek-ly, obviously ) why sports people only seem to be able to perform at their best when being encouraged 'during' as well as 'before' and 'after'. Perhaps it's only the mediocre sportspeople that need ongoing encouragement whereas the top notch ones can perform to the best of their ability regardless of external encouragement? Any sports psychologists out there? (must be a few as it's one of those 'easy pass' degrees....so I'm told...) ;)
  22. "come on trousers.....make your daily sales report a good one....you can do it son....."
  23. The trouble with these so called 'tyre kickers', that we've been told about on here over the last 18 months, is that there appears to be no risk or consequences to suffer on their part as they come and go without any legal or moral obligation to explain what happened and to apologise for wasting people's intellectual time. And don't tell me that there is "no obligation for explanations due to us only finding out through leaks etc".....I think we've cleary established now that it is in these people's interest to leak such information to gauge feedback on what the reaction would be if they were successful. Cake. Eat it. Pawns.
