  1. Well, I did my bit to save Southampton Football Club by going to see Aldershot Town instead today. I hope the people that continue to go to SMS and give Lowe the justification he needs to stay put can sleep at night as they help force the club into oblivion. Stop going to home games. Why can't people see this oh so simple solution?????????? No pain, no gain Wake up and smell the coffee. FFS
  2. Yes. I went to see Aldershot Versus Macclesfield instead. Some nice play from both teams. Having witnessed it first hand, I rather suspect we wouldn't walk league 2....
  3. The pleasure was all mine :yawinkle:

  5. Rising Sun is a huge yacht designed by the late Jon Bannenberg, and built by Germany's Lürssen, is currently co-owned by Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle Corporation, and David Geffen. The yacht is the 5th largest in the world with a length of almost 138 meters (453 ft). It reportedly cost over US$200 million to build. In August 2008, the yacht was seen around Venice, the Greek islands of Zante, Corfu and Paxos, the Adriatic and Rovinj (Croatia). In September the yacht was in Trieste (Italy) and Piran (Slovenia). As of December 2008, Rising Sun is in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and seen in Sint Maarten in January. It is equipped with: Four MTU 20V 8000 M90 diesel engines giving an output of 36,000 kW (50,000 hp) Four propellers that enable it to reach a cruising speed of 28 knots (52 km/h) 82 rooms on five stories with a total living area said to be in excess of 8,000 square meters Onyx countertops Jacuzzi bathrooms A gymnasium/spa and sauna An extensive wine cellar A master bath/bedroom A private cinema with a giant plasma screen 3,300 m² of teak-layered deck space A basketball court on the main deck (can be used as a helicopter pad if necessary) Beat that Allen.
  6. Not sure about the ears on this one to be honest, but he has a nice bun...

  8. Including 100% of season ticket holders? (yawn...put on a different record Trousers....FFS)
  9. Was/is in the same Skonto FC squad as a certain Mr Pahars I see. Perhaps he's the Latvian Wayne Rooney?
  10. no score draw
  11. Early career Perepļotkins joined FC Metalist Kharkiv at the age of 18, but over the next two years had spells with several different clubs, including Fili Moscow and R.S.C. Anderlecht, as well as spending time at Southampton's academy. Because of problems obtaining a work permit, Perepļotkins was unable to play for Southampton in front of a paying crowd, thus preventing him appearing for the first team. Shouldn't be a problem meeting this criteria in the not too distant future....?
  12. What time? Given the recent Saga saga we a time machine.
  13. Coffee? Could have been worse...
  14. Indeed. Which backs up my point somewhat. But as someone has pointed out, my point was somewhat rhetorical given the answer is "money"
  15. Are you looking for predictions of the 'official' seats sold figure or the actual number of people that will be in the stadium? (the latter of which we'll never know of course because they don't publish the actual number of people in the ground watching the game)
  16. Perhaps it's Lowe being canny and snapping up 'quality' League 1 standard players this season so that when, sorry, if we get relegated to league 1 then we'll be equipped with a team that's head and shoulders above the other League one teams because they've come from a higher league environment...? Or perhaps not... p.s. I use the word 'quality' advisedly....
  17. Been out of the loop for a few days.... Was wondering if the club ever issued a denial about this wages leak and/or condemned whoever did it? As any conspiracy theorist worth his salt will tell you, saying nowt about such an event is potentially revealing given all the other 'rumours' that are deemed worthy of a comment on the OS.... Not that I'm making accusations of inconsistency I hasten to add.... (advance apologies if the club have issued a comment and I missed it)
  18. I've got my bunting out in preparation (and, yes, that is a euphemism...)
  19. Sorry if already posted but why would anyone be "horrified" that their wages are public knowledge? The usual reason for someone being coy about their wages is that they are 'embarrassed' by earning either too little or too much. If he believes he's worth the amount he's being paid then why the big hang up about people knowing? It is afterall the general public that pay the lion's share of said wages. Talk about digging a hole for yourself....
  20. Why do these 'big club' fringe players stick with said clubs in the vein hope that they'll some day make it big whilst continually loaned out because they fail over several years to break into their first team? Surely it would be better to be settled in the first team of a lower league side as a 'permie' rather than flitting from pillar to post season after season? Dunno.
