I've highlighted the key words there... I know it's human nature for people to latch onto the vocal minority but it often gets twisted into being perceived as a prevailing viewpoint when most people are happy to give players a chance, regardless of any reputation that precedes them. Btw, being sceptical about a player's prospects and giving them a chance, aren't mutually exclusive viewpoints...
