  1. A winning team will ultimately lose a subsequent game, ergo, surely the art of good management is to know when to change the team to best avert that eventuality....?
  2. I think that's a reasonable supposition. It's all very well the likes of Adam Blackmore (who I respect hugely) saying that this is 'business as usual' (which it is in principle) but there are several differences this time around that are worthy of wondering why IMO. (The differences could still transpire to be innocuous and/or inconsequential but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be questioned until such time that is proven to be the case. )
  3. FFS! Yet another year goes by without the prospect of the added pleasure of seeing them struggle in the Championship
  4. No. That was matchday 10 The table since (and including) matchday 11 puts us in 7th
  5. And now a second charge has been registered... This one covering property/land on Melbourne Street. This is definitely more encompassing than previous years....
  6. https://www.bahianoticias.com.br/esportes/noticia/55130-empresarios-ligados-ao-southampton-fazem-sondagem-por-anderson-talisca.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Just read up on him. I actually think he has quite a few hallmarks of being a typical Saints signing: - Early to mid-20s? Tick (well, more or less...similar age to Ings when he signed for us) - On fringes of national squad? Tick - Played internationally at U20s/U23s? Tick - Has never quite reached his potential but still time to improve? Tick - Valued in the £15m - £20m bracket? Tick Gotta at least be worth a quick gander at a YouTube compilation video?!
  7. Same starting 11 as tonight for me. Think we'll come away with a 2-2 draw in this one with Ings and Djenepo (late equaliser) on the score sheet
  8. Nope, just an unsubstantiated hunch (I acknowledge he had a genuine knock during the Arsenal game but I suspect things may have moved on a bit since then. There again, he may still be genuinely injured. Who knows)
  9. No goals, but for me, that was one of Ings' best games in a Saints shirt so far. He epitomised our 'bodies on the line' attitude of the team today. He was all over the field and his closing down in the last few minutes was just as tenacious and energetic as it was at the beginning of the game. Hats off to him.
  10. Ralph post match interview: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/53302389
  11. My hunch is the latter
  12. Steady on... We could still be docked 10 points if we go into administration
  13. I'm actually with Ralph on this one. We had a bit of a blitz spirit going on within the team today and too many subs risked breaking the bond that was out there.
  14. Never any doubt Stephens just scrapes MotM for me but so many 'heros' out there Top 10 finish within our grasp? Ha... "Madness"...
  15. Yes!!!!!!!!
  16. Bollock.... Free kick
  17. Ings still running like it's the 1st minute
  18. Please hang on Saints
  19. Armstrong FFS!
  20. Ings our best defender at the moment!
