I hadn't twigged that Armstrong isn't in the squad either. He's one of the new additions that gives us something different (a midfielder whose instinct is to attack rather than ponder on the ball), so a tad head-scratchy IMO that he isn't a regular in the starting 11, let alone the matchday squad.

No Gallagher either, despite making an impact on Tuesday

Agree that it benefits Bertrand/us physically, but what if he continues to be overlooked despite playing well in the meantime... it could start to affect him psychologically (i.e. "what's the point of busting a gut here at Southampton if it dosen't result in an international re-call?") (Ifs and buts, I know)
