  1. He knows. Textbook page #64
  2. The game will be called off at half time due to lightning storms, so you'll have plenty of time. (Unless the railway signalling system has come a cropper too of course...)
  3. That's a distinct possibility. However, an away trip to the San Siro might appeal more to those that don't usually do aways given the rarity and prestige of such an occasion. I'm in the "member who does c.10 homes plus 1 or 2 aways a season" camp and I'm much more interested in going away to Milan than I am to the likes of Sunderland or Stoke, for example. (yes, I'm aware that puts me firmly in the Saintsweb intelligentsia's "plastic fan" camp, but it highlights that there could well be a greater % take up from people who don't usually do aways than one might expect.)
  4. So, 5,017 eligible to purchase so far. With 1,900 sold that's a take up rate of 38%. If that rate is consistent for all remaining season ticket holders, how many will will be sold to season ticket holders? i.e. how many season ticket holders are there in total? (if 20,000, for example, that would equate to 7,600 projected sales at a take up rate of 38%)
  5. They're not wrong...
  6. He mentioned something about it being "interesting"
  7. So, probably a better vantage point than those priority season ticket holders buying tickets in the Gods via Saints ticket office? That would be quite amusing....
  8. Textbook
  9. At least it means we don't get someone starting a "The Club's going overboard by Honouring our Returning Heroes" thread
  10. A change of mind, maybe? A change of mind, maybe? (and yes, I'm fully aware that playing the 'benefit of the doubt' card on here is an automatic admission of gross naivety according to the Saintsweb intelligentsia)
  11. Our tweaked kit for the Europa League
  12. Yes http://www.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky/competitions/premier-league
  13. So, all I had to do was form a supporters group, become recognised by the club as an official supporters group and, bingo, I'd have priority access to tickets...? The cheeky buggers kept that quiet Edit.... Ah, another cunning plan scuppered....
  14. I said to Lady Trousers on Saturday that I would paint the shed on Sunday. On Saturday evening my mum invited us over for a BBQ on Sunday. I decided to ditch the shed painting and go to the BBQ. "Lie" or change of mind / plan?
  15. I reckon this is the order of importance we should be placing on all 4 senior squad tournaments this season: 1. Europa League 2. Premier League ('importance' in terms of improving on 6th place. It's obviously the most important tournament we play in overall) 3. F.A. Cup 4. League Cup As such, I would expect us to mainly use 'senior' player rotation for 1 & 2 and only bring in U23/academy players for 3 and 4. Injuries to the senior squad will obviously alter things somewhat but, I think that's what we'll see from a philosophical perspective. Edit: I guess some will validly argue that we should put the FA Cup above the Premier League, as long as that doesn't sacrifice our Premier League status, which is fair enough.
  16. http://tbrfootball.com/three-things-we-learnt-from-arsenals-2-1-victory-over-southampton/3/ (apologies if already posted)

  18. Yep, mine arrived this morning.
  19. Textbook
  20. Bloody hope so. Much more fun to be had watching their fan "ownership" (sic) model struggle as they climb the leagues.
  21. Has this got anything to do with Cortese and his "very good friend" Dalian Wanda (sic)...? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?48666-Wang-Jianlin-looking-at-175m-takeover-of-Southampton-according-to-Sunday-Mirror
