  4. Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport I had a candid 1-2-1 with Ronald Koeman today about his future, comments about Academy & relationship with board - will go up @solentsport Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport #saintsfc Ronald Koeman on pressure on him if this week goes badly: "I'm the last person to run away from a problem". Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport #saintsfc Ronald Koeman says he has no problems with club's board & he has a meeting this afternoon with board over "the future in the club"
  5. Koeman: "We won't be replacing Caulker. We will use the young ones if we need to"
  6. Koeman (when asked how close we are to bringing in new players in this window): "No, we're no closer to bringing anyone in. If we do it will be just one player, no more"
  7. Adam Blackmore: "If Stekelenburg fails to shrug off a hamstring issue then Forster will start"

  9. I tend to agree with the gist of this article: http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2016/01/the-tories-have-messed-up-with-junior-doctors-heres-what-they-should-have-done/ (ok, yes I know its one of those purposely provocative Spectator articles, however....) It's the same old Tories....come up with a half decent idea (a seamless 24/7 NHS) only to completely screw up the implementation...
  10. talkSPORTDrive ‏@talkSPORTDrive Caulker signs for Liverpool in time to play against Arsenal. Wenger's ridiculous luck continues. Couldn't make it up.

  13. Good decision. Your go.
  14. Good decision from the ref there. Spurs 2 Leicester 2
  15. But it'll bring in more revenue which will inevitably help them to settle the 3 charges that the PFA still have on Fratton Park... (No, I've no idea either why the PFA still has 3 charges against a club that is "debt free"...)
  16. I think some people are suggesting that Pochettino was good at turning "U21 players that aren't premier league quality" into U21 players that *are* premier league quality, the inference being that Koeman doesn't seem able and/or willing to divert effort into such conversions. I'm undecided, but there is some circumstantial evidence to suggest that Koeman expects the U21 players to be of "premier league quality" without his, and his coaching team's, intervention in the transformation process.
  17. Looks like the BBC are going to great lengths to even up the anti-party leader bias... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/david-cameron-slammed-live-on-tv-by-andrew-marr-show-band-squeeze-a6804751.html
  18. I singled him out at half time (along with Targett) as one of our poorest performers. Better 2nd half. IMO.
  19. Ah! Good spot! Romeu in for Big Vic in that case and Reed on the bench. This football manager malarkey is tougher than I thought
  20. Forster Cedric - Fonte - VvD - Bertrand Clasie - Wanyama - Davis Tadic - Pelle - Mane Subs: Stek, Targett, Yoshida, Romeu, JWP, Jaunmi, Long Saints 3 Watford 1
  21. 'Dalek' getting some good bites again. One can't help but admire his strike rate.
