How times have changed. They've gone from buying trips to Wembley with money they didn't have to.... buying their way out of trips to Wembley with money they've only got because they've been allowed to write off £100m+ of historic debt.... At least they can now concentrate on scraping last minute draws in the 4th tier of English football.

That was the bit that stood out for me too.

I think we see the 'real' person when he posts after he's been to see the pre-season games in Austria the last few seasons. His posts are much more rational and pragmatic during those few days. I'm pretty sure 'Alpine Saint' the rest of the time is a character that he 'plays' in order to be as provocative as possible. Not a wind-up per se, more of a psychology project I would venture Would be a slightly less entertaining forum without him, that's for sure.

I'm sure the businesses and taxpayers that lost out on £100m+ over the last 5 years are happy with that too...
