Those 4 or 5 media outlets are just rehashing the Daily Mail story. The Daily Mail story has NO quotes or sources attached and is completely unsubstantiated. Cortese therefore probably believes it isn't worth a moment of his time to respond to such poor journalism. Neither should any fan take any notice of a rumour lacking it details.

1) It is not public knowledge what went on with the Echo. So hard for anyone to form an opinion either for/against either party concerned. 2) All he said was he expected the team to do better given the money spend. I think he has a point. Pardew hasn't done badly, but he could have done better given the huge difference in resources at his disposal compared to other League One clubs. Would you prefer Mr Cortese to spend his time responding to every press or forum rumour OR spend his time getting on with his job? Pardew himself said that there will be a lot of speculation over the summer concerning both himself and his players and that he will not respond to it all as most is wild speculation. If Cortese sacks Pardew then it is worth discussing if it was right or wrong. At the moment it is unfounded press speculation from the Daily Mail that lacks any sources or quotes and until anything happens or quotes/sources are named it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

The media created version of NC worries you. The real NC you have no idea what he will do with Pardew.

Are you denying Cortese said they would consider a relocation? His words were pretty clear, they intend to expand St Mary's or relocate to a new site.

What evidence do you have for that? So far all it is is claims by people on this forum. I also very much doubt Mark Hughes would join a League One club as director of football. I doubt the club would meet his wages, or that he would want to be director of football of a League One club(he'd likely be looking for a managerial return) and it is creates tension between him and Pardew if things go badly.

You are unsure. Because you believe the rumours you read. How do you know Cortese is unsure? Don't let tabloid and web forum rumours cloud your judgement.

And Pardew has come in from 25/1 to 8/1 3rd favourite. You have to keep in mind this odds are just reflecting the money being put on them. Many punters will just be putting the unrest stories and Pardew's West Ham past together and assuming he is off. I then becomes a snowball effect with money following shortening odds as others think something must be happening if the odds tumble.

Who were these people? Sometimes rumours are self fueling and start to snowball even if they are completely untrue. One person reads a rumour one one site, posts it on another site. Then the first site sees the second site and uses it to justify the original.

That is fault of the electorate not the political party. Having TV debates doesn't help, makes it too presidential. Most people couldn't name the candidate they voted for probably in this election and instead just the leaders(though some probably don't even know them).

How is he? All he has done is not go to a game. The media and fans on places like this forum are the ones filling in the rest. It may or may not be correct but the air restrictions is the most likely reason he missed the game. He has no reason to explain every move he makes and rumours that grow from them!
