Can you go 2 hours without food or drink?
Matthew Le God replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
When people leave you have to stand to let them past. That obstructs the view of the person behind and behind them and a domino effect starts and everyone has to stand for rows and rows backwards. Also not everyone is able to keep standing and sitting continuously, some people are old, frail etc and unable to move quickly to let people past and obstruct people behind for longer. I'm 6 foot 2 btw so hardly short. If anything this makes it worse because it means I have to stand to let people past as can't move my legs enough in the space. -

I actually played to a reasonably high level of Plymouth Argyle's youth team
-
So as long as I'm young and cute and make you laugh when I run on you wouldn't mind me potentially stopping Saints getting enough points for the playoffs?
-
A line has to be drawn somewhere. Far easier to make it "no-one is tolerated at any time on the pitch" rather than have a grey hazy approach where kids are allowed sometimes. What age is the cut off for acceptable and cute? As I have said before a dangerous precedent is set the day clubs ignore people entering the field of play.
-
So if I run on the pitch against Exeter whilst Saints are attacking and the ref stops play you will laugh it off?
-
It wasn't an offense in 1966. It is now and is against the law to enter the field of play. Yes, the child is below age of responsibility but the parents/guardians should be dealt with as they are responsible for him if they are with him at the stadium or not especially as many have suggested it isn't this kids first time doing this. As for what Pardew said I think he should retract it and just because the manager said it doesn't make him right. He may have thought it funny but the club should think more carefully about giving publicity and congratulations to offenders no matter what age. They also put his picture on the OS giving the kid a well done badge and encouraging his impressionable peers to do the same in the future.
-
So if he or someone else does this for the rest of the season you will think its OK? There has to be a line somewhere. The game wasnt even over. Many have said this isn't the first time this lad has done it either. You can't ignore it, as sets a precedent.
-
Would you agree the parents should be banned from St Mary's? If not why not? If a child misses school his parents/guardians are fined or imprisoned.

It is just League games.
-
Probably a case of one person making the rumour up and posting it someone online. Another person seeing that rumour and posting it somewhere else and it just snowballing and based on nothing.

Rickie Lambert is a fellow scouser so he can translate.

From how it was worded yesterday if any stadiums mess up or FIFA don't like them, they will then look at Leicester, Derby and Hull.
-
It is an experiment they are doing. Mid week games would normally finish close to 10pm on a school night. By starting at 7pm it may encourage more parents to bring children to the game.

It doesn't say it won't be, just said they haven't planned for it to be atm.

FM10 10.2 Patch and Data Update released
Matthew Le God replied to Matthew Le God's topic in Computer Games
I haven't had my file back to work on so very little will have changed. David Connolly will be as the Sunderland researcher left him. I will make changes during January when I get the Saints file back. -

I couldn't tell you either way as I signed a NDA. Try suggesting it on the forums and see if you get any support for the idea. Will be another one in February after transfer window. -
Well your argument also falls flat on its face as you don't know the ins and outs of what happened and are all based on assumptions on your part.

It was done by Solent Uni students possibly as part of their media course. Fair play to them for offering their time and giving a service that possibly if they didn't volunteer we wouldn't get. However I don't think long term a career in this field is a path they should be following.

Why is it different?

FM10 10.2 Patch and Data Update released
Matthew Le God replied to Matthew Le God's topic in Computer Games
No. This isn't as indepth data wise as the one after the January window. If Saints spend alot in January I will have a good case to put forward that he should be foreground(along with the new training buildings). -
Of course you can't ban a child of that age running onto the pitch. However I think it would be perfectly acceptable to ban the parents/guardians of that child from the stadium for a period of time. People are fined/jailed for not getting children to school, so a ban for them not controlling their children to enter the field of play(a criminal offense) during a game is reasonable and fits the crime.

Those that are laughing this off answer this question... What if the stewards ignored him on Tuesday and a different youth or number of youths take his lead and ran onto the pitch whilst the game was happening against Exeter and stopped Saints scoring because the ref halted play? Would you laugh it off then? Remember on Tuesday the game wasn't over at the point he ran on. A few penalties were still to be taken. So he clearly wasn't celebrating a Saints win, because they hadn't at that point.
-
Have you forgotten he didn't run on the pitch out of joy at Saints winning? The penalty shoot out was still in progress.
