  1. O'Hara and Quincy both scored. If they were insolvent it was illegal for them to be playing for them.
  2. Which is why it may be better to develop when crowds are already lower. If gates are averaging 20k like now and work reducing capacity to 20k, then it doesn't have much of an impact. As soon as Saints are back in the Premiership average will go straight over 30k from the 1st season back onwards. To then reduce capacity during work means a loss of income.
  3. I have watched the first half on Sky+. Not sure if I'll ever get round to the second.
  4. No-one will buy them. Too much debt for too little return.
  5. Last line of this is interesting... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2854846/FA-have-no-plan-if-Pomp-go-pop.html Quotes from an unnamed FA source. Considering Pompey were possibly insolvent when O'Hara and Quincy signed and both played key roles in the game and there is no precedent I think a reinstatement is justified.

  9. Care to elaborate? Something like this...? Both are American definitions of a "Statement of Affairs", though I'd imagine they are similar to the UK version.
  10. Because Vectis the company doing it are independent. Apart from Vectis executive chairman Ken Dulieu, who used to be Southampton chairman. Based on this they may be open to bribes from Peter Storrie... http://www.accountancyage.com/accountancyage/news/2250997/vantis-execs-charged-219m
  11. It is illegal to trade whilst insolvent. The club will stop or the directors would be liable to any further debts along with sanctions to them personally for continuing.
  12. If the report confirms they are insolvent they won't be allowed to continue trading for 12 more days until the court case.
  13. I wonder if more would be released if the 44k get sold?
  14. If Plymouth fail to build the stadium they promised then it would then go to one of the rejected bid cities like Hull or Leicester.
  15. No Saints aren't. That isn't an official website.
  16. St Mary's averaged over 30k every season from 2001 to 2005. As soon as promotion to the Premiership happens it will be back to averages over 30k in the first season. That would put Saints around 10th to 12th in the Premiership in size of gates. Planning applications may take ages to go through so worth thinking about it in advance.
  17. It also adds value to the club for when Mr Liebherr sells it eventually.
  18. He has said about every takeover i.e. they have money and substance and none have. People with money have money for a reason, they are generally intelligent people. If they weren't they wouldn't have become rich or maintain their wealth for long. Spending millions on Pompey is a sure fire way to lose money, they simply aren't sustainable or a viable investment to make a return on. A Championship sized club cheating to live a Premiership dream on borrowed cash.
  19. As planning could take along time to go through might be worth looking into it now. I reckon they probably have been considering what to do on this front already. The new training facilities are aimed for a Premiership team so they are planning ahead. Every Premiership season at St Mary's from 2001 to 2005 averaged over 30k.
  20. Still in Hampshire though and still a League team. The same can't be said of Portsmouth when they go bust and global warming floods their island city.
  21. All it would mean is you'd play two out of Connolly, Barnard and Waigo upfront in a 442 and not play the long ball to flick on with Lambert's head.
  22. No-one to do his role. They'd just change the style of play. Connolly, Papa Waigo and Barnard are all very capable of scoring a lot of goals in League One.
  23. Think of poor Aldershot! They make it back to the Football League and both Saints and Pompey fans forget them in their chants.
  24. You don't seem to realise that if Saints sold Lambert(which they won't) then they would buy another top quality striker with the cash.
  25. Its not really a massive worry because if he did leave in the summer(which I am very confident he won't) it would be for around £2m and Pardew would just be given the funds to buy another quality striker for whichever league Saints are in.
