Will they ever realise that there own personnal views cannot be taken as a general view of Saints fans as a whole? Unlikely it seems. This being a good example http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4423894.Saints_fans_want_boss_with_League_One_experience/ If ever there was a non story this is it. Nick and Richard are entitled to expressing their views but to use it as a "this is Saints fans view on X" each time by the media is very poor journalism.

I said "a tad harsh" You are right he hasn't done alot but has stiff oposition in front of him for a starting place with Glen Johnson at right back.
-
He is a regular in the England Under 21's and is going to the Euro's so even though not playing at Pompey that statement is a tad harsh

£1m for DMG - Why do people think it's such a bad deal?
Matthew Le God replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
People keep harping on about his scoring record. 14 goals in 46 games. They seem to forget... i) For large parts of the season he wasn't playing as a striker! At times he was wide right and also played deeper behind the two strikers(Euell and Saga in the 442 diamond under Wotte) or behind one striker in an atacking midfield role under Poorvliet. ii) He was in a struggling side that produced very few opportunities for him. -
And why haven't you given a name? They clearly won't mind him being revealed if they are out in public with him. Or are you messing with us? I'm guessing you mean Wotte

Not quite what the OP makes out then

1.4p per day is hardly going to tip you over the edge into bankruptcy is it?

1) It's a different company to the Forest sponsors 2) Pinnacle aren't buying us they are acting on behalf of a client so doesn't really matter about their finances(to an extent )

Wotte's job offer, Surman bid, Rasiak to go cheaply

He also had a squad full of untried players and no money to spend. I think most managers would have struggled to keep us up with the resources Wotte had at his disposal. -
I am Matthew Le God and SuperMikey is right

More like Paypal is the new FL. FL have done this for many years.

The FL always acts as a middleman in all deals to ensure all past debts are paid off.

Yep, it may have got lost on page 10 of a different thread. So I made a new thread as clearly it deserved one

Design a Saints rebrand - Fan competition
Matthew Le God replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I think you'd struggle to find many badges for other clubs that haven't changed over the years! The current Saints badge has been about for less than one third of our history and has even changed since its conception in the 1970's. Anyway lets see some other attempts at a new badge posted here -
Design a Saints rebrand - Fan competition

Completely my idea as he worked to my specification. So the creative input was mine. Of course credit to Tweej for putting it together, but the idea is mine. I didn't leave it open for him. I gave a very specific outline of how the badge and kits should look. p.s. I've now changed the wording to "idea". -
In the 1970's the Club had a competition for fans to design a brand new badge, the current badge is the result. As its the 125th year of Saints and a new era of ownership I thought I'd have a go at bring the club back to its 1885 traditions. Here is my idea. Have a go yourself and post designs in here. We could then have a poll vote thread of the best designs from the thread. Please don't turn this thread into a discussion about if the club should have a rebrand or not as that has been done before. Just use it to show off your creativity! A combination of old(1885 badge) and current badge Below a reworking of the very first Southampton kit in 1885 An away kit A third kit Have fun designing

Maybe it will grow on you as you aren't used to it like you are with the current one

Near enough every club in England has changed its name over the years and badge. Saints have had many names in the past, many badges aswell.
-
Southampton St. Mary's St. Mary's Y.M.A. Use some of the old names from the past(both these have been used before) or include 1885

Is that talking from experience of drinking both?
-
As Matt is playing a large part in the running of the club on the football side would he be ok with this as it would look abit egotistical?

We do have a fan on board! The best fan possible! Matthew Le Tissier Better than a Nick Illingsworth or Richard Chorley type on the board! "I wanna be in media spotlight and my personnal views speak for all Saints fans"

Leyton Orient call us cheats and want us in Div 2
Matthew Le God replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Punishing a club for administration after those that caused it have left is wrong and no deterent at all. Former chairman aren't affected by a points deduction. Is it fair to put the son of a murderer that jumped bail in prison just so that you punish somebody for the crime All it does is punish the fans/players/staff of the club that are innocent. Hearn is clearly a prat
