Like what? None would end the deal or effect the price(been decided already). Many football takeovers have occured where the names are public knowledge before everything is sealed.
-
Quite rightly aswell. If someone has come this far down the line and investing large amounts of time and effort to buy the club they won't end interest because their name becomes public knowledge. That is just absurd. Peple don't become millionaires by throwing away hundreds of thousands of admin costs for no good reason. Ok, they don't want to be seen in public yet. But there is a big difference between wanting to remain anonymous and walking away from a multi million pound investment.

ummm...? The Echo is right - some of the squad report for fitness testing on Monday with full training restarting on 22nd This doesn't conflict in any way with that BBC article

Not a rival club if when you do the tapping you don't own a club at the time.

Because the Euro election results were at St. Mary's last night.

Adams and Magilton have only just been appointed at new clubs so are hardly available

It's explained in this. Quite an interesting watch Part 1 Part 2 Part 3

I'm sure he would be aware that it would find its way on here. Thus if I were Jackson, I wouldn't want fans on this messageboard to be given the chance to have a discussion like we are having now. If he didn't care what we thought why would he respond to the email the OP sent him?

It doesn't create a good initial impression though does it?

Who else is wetting themselves at the prospect

Chance to take 35k of us to Wembley shouldn't be laughed at -
Dyslexia doesn't prevent you from using a spell checker to come over as at least a little like a professional businessman.

If someone connected with him had started this rumour of course he would deny it. The theory for starting the rumour would be to boost his own chances - which of course it wouldn't anyway. Why start a negative campaign only to later admit to it? I do however believe that he isn't connected to the rumour because if he were to be behind it he is more stupid than his poor spelling suggests. If this email is indeed from him!

The media vs Nick Illingsworth & Richard Chorley

The OP is more about the Echo's use of Nick or Richard for "newsworthy articles", not the content of what they both say. -

Yes, in respect to being a leading story in a large regional newspaper. -
He did indeed. I'd be happy if he were to be appointed.

The media vs Nick Illingsworth & Richard Chorley
Matthew Le God replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
My point in the OP is less about Nick(as I said he is entitled to his views as long as he makes it clear they are just his views) and more about the Echo using his views as a newsworthy article. -
He has never managed in League One!

So you wouldn't like Strachan back if the very unlikely happens and he fancied a return? Or any other manager Championship level or higher experience? -
The backer for Saints deal is worth "several hundred million". OK we don't know how much he will invest, but Tony Lynham has said it will be "sustained investment" with a "5 year plan to get back to the Premiership". Its just words at the moment but its not as bad as you make out(I hope based on what Tony has said).

I never said Chorley was in the article. I said this article is an example! Chorley has been used by other media outlets for similar purposes. To an extent I agree with what Nick says. However it irks me that he is a largely self appointed "voice of the fans" in media circles.
