I'd say signing Livramento on a long term deal for £5m is better than having Eriksen for 6 months.

Saints are now mathematically safe!

Talks aren't going to ultimately this as long as Putin is in power as he'd be back in months or years. The Russians can't be trusted to honour any peace deal. This only ends when Putin leaves power and isn't replaced by a follower of his ideas. It may take a coup to do it or the West supporting Ukraine long enough for them to push the Russians out in a war of attrition.

Harry Lewis apparently joining Mark Hughes at Bradford City... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10817723/Goalkeeper-Harry-Lewis-leaves-Southampton-League-Two-Bradford-City-free-transfer.html

The problem is they are aren't just doing that. It should not be upto leaders of other countries to agree to hand over Ukrainian land to an aggressor like Russia.

They paid £22m, not £35m+.... https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51316601 If they fail to go up this season they can't be too picky with the price they ask for him.

It was Puel who followed Koeman, not Pellegrino.

The penalty isn't over until the ball is dead, so a keeper can have multiple touches if that is what it takes to stop the ball going in. Otherwise a situation could see a keeper unable to do anything as he watches a back spinning ball go over the line.

Why wouldn't he be allowed? If he wasn't allowed a keeper could do nothing to prevent this...

Stranger things have happened... The Monster Raving Loony party had 'Passports for pets' in their manifesto in 1983. In 2001 it became government policy!

In which case it shouldn't be an issue out of principle to remove those powers from the monarchy.
-
1) What has the monarchy done in a recent crisis for the benefit of the nation that couldn't be achieved in a Republic? 2) The Palace of Versailles has significantly more annual visitors than Buckingham Palace. The big difference is without a monarchy living and young these palaces more of the Palace is accessible! Same applies to other UK and French palaces. And gives France a bigger tourism boost compared to the UK. 3) This is nonsense. I'm open to changing my mind on any topic if the evidence supports doing so. 4) To dismiss critics of the monarchy as merely being 'envious' of her is utterly bizarre. The criticism of the monarchy is due to it being undemocratic and archaic.

Is every taxpayer funding you a lavish lifestyle not available to anyone else?

Reality says otherwise. Of course she isn't going to, but technically she can. So this is an issue of principle.

How does us having a monarchy make us more stable than France or the USA? What recent crisis has rallying behind the monarchy helped us in any tangible way?
