  1. Not this coming Thursday, it is the Thursday after Saints play them.
  2. Saints already have a bigger wage bill than Ajax, with Forster leaving it opens up a lot on our wage bill. Hard to think of many big European clubs in need of a new keeper and some may be put of by him being out of action for 9 months due to his ban. Saints could be the fresh start he needs.
  3. Perhaps Saints could make an ambitious move for Onana after his doping ban. https://www.bbc.com/sport/africa/57427001 He is out of contract next summer and doesn't look like he is renewing it...
  4. He can put in good performances at St Mary’s (4 years ago)...
  5. Why does being 'higher profile' matter? It is ability that matters, lets give Lyanco a chance before writing him off.
  6. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-closing-in-hamza-5850976
  7. That isn't really proof, as we don't know if he may have got a deal deal even if Ings stayed.
  8. I'd class 'official' as being when the club announce it publicly. That doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but why delay an announcement?
  9. Nope, club have not announced it.
  10. Perraud 23 years old Lyanco 24 years old Walcott 32 years old Armstrong 24 years old Isn't simply going solely for 'kids'.
  11. We have gone for younger players this summer, but they aren't in the starting line-up. Broja and Small for example are back-up players.
  12. No it isn't! There is one teenager in our starting line-up today. An exceptional one at that.
  13. I know, but we are going to need to put up with it until a new keeper is signed next summer when Forster leaves. Or perhaps if McCarthy is injured, suspended or fucks up badly for a run of games and Forster comes in.
  14. The bench with a keeper, CB, two fullbacks, a central midfielder and four attacking options looks nicely balanced.
  15. As Hasenhuttl has openly confirmed McCarthy is first choice, it isn't a surprise he starts league games.
  16. Currently only one teenager in our starting line-up. He isn't remotely out of place in the Premier League. He just had a man of the match performance in a draw vs Man Utd. Certainly beats this... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7815964.stm
  17. Signing Chelsea's academy player of the season and signing Everton's youngest ever player who they desperately wanted to keep is a bit different to having Lloyd James and Simon Gillet trying to keep us up in the Championship.
  18. 0-3 to Saints then? Why does Mike Dean being on VAR need to mean he screws Saints over? He might screw Newcastle instead!
  19. He is number 4 as expected...
