I doubt he'd be remotely affordable for us. Linked with some of the elite European teams and has 4 years left on his contract. https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/manchester-united-transfer-news-real-madrid-join-race-for-leverkusen-starlet-moussa-diaby

They are not original! 😉

Halftime entertainment...

Redmond is not incompetent. He is massively and frustratingly inconsistent. When he is on form he is a very good player and a big asset for Saints. It is just those games are rare.
-
I didn't say he was.
-
It isn't a like for like comparison. My point was that Djenepo is 4 years behind Redmond in his development.

You should watch some highlights videos to get an idea of him at his best. Of course it comes with a caveat of being a highlights reel but it will still give you an idea of what he is capable off on a good day. There is no chance Saints can sign a player who has already recently scored 22 PL goals in a season. So signing players like Adams and Armstrong and developing them is the way to go.
-
I think his composure has already improved in his time at the club. He is a better player now than in his opening 30 games for Saints.
-
He is 4 years younger.
-
Why do you think Adams doesn't have potential to progress? He already had a pretty decent goalscoring season last season.
-
I stated the source was the Mirror. I passed no comment on the likelihood of it being true or bullshit.
-
What the Mirror story apparently claims is not what Nixon is denying. The Mirror story does not say it is agreed, nor does it say the deal is only £10m.
-
I don't know, it is being rehashed by other publications and I can't find a link to the original article.

If true... maybe a direct Ings replacement for 2021/22. Or settling Armstrong in for a year ready to replace Ings as first choice at the end of his contract in 2022.
-
Possibly summer signing number 3 😉😇 According to the Sunday Mirror today, Adam Armstrong is set for a move to Southampton for an initial £10m with add-ons to come.

An agreement in principle is not the agreement. Nor is it registered with the governing bodies until July.
-
I didn't say that at all. The club's statement in May said... "Southampton Football Club is delighted to confirm it has reached an agreement in principle with Theo Walcott for the forward to return to Saints on a permanent basis." An agreement in principle is not the agreement. Nor is it registered with the governing bodies until July.
-
Nonsense as I hope you are fully aware. A pre agreement is not the actual agreement starting. The deal was not registered with governing bodies until July... so it is a summer signing. He was an Everton employee until the end of 30th June and became a Saints player the next day... in the summer.
-
It isn't much of a joke.
-
He is in the starting eleven. 🤔
-
It isn't surprising or optimistic when Hasenhuttl has stated on multiple occasions they intend to sign a few players this summer and even named the roles he wants to fill.
-
The announcement on 18th May was an agreement in principle. Walcott joined Saints on the day after his contract expired (30th June) on 1st July... which is summer. Perraud joined on the day after on 2nd July.

Lucky for Arsenal that a football game isn't a WWI battle and the same skills aren't required! 😉 It is puzzling why you think Ward-Prowse isn't aggressive, have you not seen him play in the last 3 seasons? He is aggressive, hard tackling and winds up opponents.
