  1. Why is that luck? What exactly are you claiming "luck" to be? Does it manifest in reality in a detectable way?
  2. They don't need to release it to the media to tap him up, just a private conversation with his agent would do.
  3. His wages are likely to be the issue, not his transfer fee. Saints could offer him out for £0 but if no-one matches his wage demands he won't leave.
  4. Sky Sports News ‏Verified account @SkySportsNews @SkySportsNews SKY SOURCES: Jordan Pickford is @ChelseaFC's primary target if Thibaut Courtois leaves this summer. #SSN
  5. The last page of this thread has been discussing that since yesterday when the story appeared.
  6. It is nonsense from the HITC "journalist" who can't read. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/07/25/report-southampton-submit-offer-for-barcelona-defender-yerry-min/ He links to his source and it clearly says Wolverhampton, not Southampton... https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/europa/esclusiva-tmw-yerry-mina-scatto-del-southampton-c-a-l-offerta-ufficiale-1138219
  7. It doesn't matter whether he played in the final game or not. It will be done from when their tournament ends, they do deserve a holiday. I'd guess Cedric will fly out to France in a couple of days.
  8. They are both with the under 23s in Italy
  9. What exactly are you saying is ludicrous? Because Nixon saying it in The Sun doesn't make it true. He bull****s all the time.
  10. Did you apply the same "logic" after we drew with the 2nd best German team two weeks ago? It is pre-season, results are meaningless. They don't replicate league conditions as the are massively disjointed by large numbers of subs and players aren't motivated to perform in the same manner as a competitive game.
  11. Not if the transfer clause doesn't allow Saints to turn down a bid that meets it.
  12. I meant if the player was sold in the current maketime (same contract length). The market is different now so daft to make comparison.
  13. I think you mean... £11.5m Why include the potential extras for one but not the other? The market has also changed significantly sine Mane was sold. If Saints were selling him now we'd be getting a lot more.
  14. That is a strange reason not to want a player. The two you named are among the best in the world, hardly something to use as a stick to beat Giroud with. Pointless anyway as he is unlikely to be joining Saints any time soon.
  15. Not sure we can get away with 12 players on the pitch
  16. I think Balotelli is crazy enough to accept payment in acorns & magic beans if you offered it to him!
  17. What evidence do you have that he has breached his contract?
  18. He really isn't, he comes out with nonsense all the time.
  19. The tweet that article is based on does not link Origi to Saints, the journalist misunderstood. The tweet links Saints to Ings and Newcastle to Origi.
  20. What sources?
  21. Neither of them played in the Premiership or Premier League.
  22. You want Saints to sign a starter for the World Cup winners, who is on a huge wage at Chelsea?
  23. Burnley are a well-drilled side that relies on team organisation and good management rather than a large number of standout players. That is why they haven't sold many. If the players we have sold had been Burnley players they would also have left, possibly even sooner than they did as our wage budget is a lot higher than Burnley's. I'd still rather have our squad than Bunrley's, it is just we have had a terrible manager in Pellegrino who stunted and held back our squad and they had Dyche.
  24. Hojbjerg, Stephens and Ward-Prowse don't have the pace needed to be good wing backs. They'd get exposed by a half decent opposing winger.
  25. Is that his fault? Why "hate" him? Seems an extreme reaction!
