  1. If you think this squad will be near a relegation battle then your ability to judge player quality is misguided.
  2. If an ex-player curse really exists, then why not apply it to both clubs...? Southampton 3 (Long x3) West Bromwich Albion 3 (Rodriguez x3)
  3. [video=youtube;bzL-zzjxqCQ]
  4. A little perspective needed perhaps? Saints aren't a very poor side, lots of good players at the club with a large number of current/recent internationals. The early to mid 80s and 2013 to now are the two top flight golden ages for the club in it's 132 year history!
  5. James, Lord Duckhunter didn't say McCarthy "would" be worse... he said he "could" be worse. They is a significant difference between the two statements. I get people aren't happy with Forster (I don't particularly share that view), however to just think McCarthy automatically would be an improvement is flawed. As Lord Duckhunter has stated, they have very little in the way of evidence to think McCarthy would be an improvement.
  6. You linked to a NEWSpaper article.
  7. I don't really see how being Skybet's favourite constitutes as "news". All it takes is a few QPR fans to put a bet on him rejoining and the odds shorten, doesn't mean there is any truth to it. I very much doubt they could pay any where remotely near the wages Saints are paying him.
  8. Quicker than us. Lost it less than us. And had a goalie ten times ours, even after injury. Nonsense. Forster really isn't as bad as you and others make out. Yes, he makes the occasional mistake but you overlook all the good things he does and focus on the occasional error. Selective memories!
  9. I think you must have watched a different game to me! They look extremely defensive and limited technically. Just putting huge numbers of players behind the ball isn't impressive.
  10. Hojbjerg is not playing in an attacking midfield role. He is alongside Ward-Prowse in a midfield pairing in the 4-2-3-1. Jake Hesketh is playing as the central attacking midfield player of of the 3 in the 4-2-3-1.
  11. That is a double negative and thus cancels out! If you "don't want neither"... then you do want one of them.
  12. From 43 minutes... https://audioboom.com/posts/6387438-irish-hangovers-chinese-takeovers-and-the-king-of-crumbles
  13. Shane Long was in training on Thursday 12th October...
  14. - 4231 has 4 attacking players - The formation you suggest has... 3 attacking players
  15. Windows, Mac, Linux, mobiles & tablets.
  16. Not really... it is the Express that had the story. All the others are simply rehashing the Express in their rumour roundup by saying "the Express says...". That isn't the same as them all having the story. The Express is one of the least reliable sources of football news.
  17. What is the point in writing that? If you don't agree with me fine, but to only comment "what is wrong with you" is pathetic!
  18. Is this supposed to be based on how good they are today? Because Lambert wouldn't be anywhere near the starting XI. Gabbiadini, Austin & Long would all be more effective than a recently retired Lambert who struggled at a bottom half Championship side last season. Plus from your starting XI... I'd rather have... - Forster than Boruc - Cedric than Clyne - Bertrand than Shaw ...and Lemina & Romeu would give Schneiderlin & Wanyama a run for their money!
  19. What is worse about the game now vs 2012?
  20. No Not unless some of the other clubs change their minds. The "big 6" plus Leicester, West Ham & Everton want the change... the other 11 don't. You need 14 in favour to get a PL change (as they only have 9 clubs). That doesn't look like happening as things stand!
