  1. I know we are only 3 points above 18th, but how can it be relegation form when we are 12th in the league?
  2. What happens if we don't? (apart from a meltdown on this forum)
  3. Being charged isn't the same as being found guilty.
  4. Why ****? Keeps Everton at a catchable distance.
  5. I have a feeling you wouldn't recognise either of them if you passed them in West Quay.
  6. Pretty rare (and for good reason) for a manager to walk away from millions of potential compensation.
  7. In its 132 year history he club has had two golden ages in the top flight... early to mid 1980s and we are still in the current one of 2012 to the present day. Les Reed is a key part of the second one, Cortese appointed Reed to overall the football as Cortese had no background of high level football. Paul Mitchell was under Les Reed. It was Reed overseeing things in terms of football when Mitchell was at the club.
  8. It is the manager's job to motivate and get the best out of the players! That is his remit. We have a better squad of individuals man for man than Burnely... but Sean Dyche is doing a signicantly better job than Pellegrino with a less talented squad.
  9. Can you enlighten us as to how... 1) this "power" manifests in reality 2) which players 3) your good evidence to support such a claim (not just a hunch) ???
  10. Did this person have a copy of The Sun with them? https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/3902616/southampton-reward-virgil-van-dijk-replacement-jack-stephens-with-a-huge-12-5m-deal/
  11. When is his "time"? Stephens is older than Hoedt.
  12. His last loan was in League 1 from February to May 2016, he wasn't ready for the Premier League at that time and had many players above him in the pecking order. The loans helped him get to his current level, better playing regularly in League 1 than the under 23s.
  13. He was in training before the Arsenal game. With nearly a fully fit squad, some players have to be left out of the matchday 18 even if they are fit.
  14. Tadic just made his 26th Premier League assist for Saints... only Le Tissier has more!
  15. Ronald Koeman was the Southampton manager for the Sunderland 8-0 game.
  16. Nope! Saints = 1.7 million Celtic = 1.6 million Rangers = 580k Leeds = 500k Wolves = 317k
  17. Bramall Lane has a very simiilar capacity to St Mary's, Sheff Utd are currently averaging similar to what Saints did in their Championship promotion season.
  18. Extremely hard to take seriously an article that is entirely based on betting odds. Merely reflects random bets by the public who haven't a clue and vicious cycle of bets based on articles and articles based on bets starts.
  19. It wouldn't have taken very long... it is currently the 15th thread on the first page.
  20. We don't need Shaw... we have Bertrand, McQueen and Targett. What does Koeman have to do with it? Koeman has never been Shaw's manager.
  21. Crystal Palace announce plans to increase capacity by 8,000 and other improvements costing circa £100m... [video=youtube;AUnWAL-ty4U]
  22. Clearly? I'm not even convinced there was any contact at all! If there was... please screenshot and post an image of the exact moment Boufal contacted Smith. This image does not show contact but it shows Smith falling over and screaming out before he gets near to Boufal... If Smith is already in the process of falling over... then it isn't Boufal that made him fall over!!! Adam Smith was already falling over and screaming out before he reached Boufal. As he was already falling over before reaching Boufal... then Boufal can't be the cause of the fall = dive
  23. Exactly that! Same as I want in every cup draw for Saints. Easiest possible route to the final.
  24. Is this bump because of his key error today? He messed up badly for the Bournemouth goal today, but apart from that he had a very good game.
  25. We don't need 5 defenders and 3 defensive midfielders vs Bournemouth We are likely to be on the front foot, like we were vs. Everton. When we played in a 4-2-3-1 system... which has 3 attacking midfielder and 1 striker... 4 attacking players plus 2 attacking fullbacks = 6 You are suggesting we only have Gabbiadini & Boufal as attacking players & 2 attacking wing backs = 4 We are playing Bournemouth tomorrow... not Man City again!
