  1. Yes I do you registered in the same month as me... November 2006 when this forum started.
  2. Why are people talking to Cabbage_Face as if he isn't an alias?
  3. I'd guess because the reason he wants to leave is to move back to the Netherlands. If it was money motivated he'd stay with us.
  4. Another Russian campaign ends in failure for Germany... this time in the summer!
  5. Nope, because they were loans. I'm talking about subsidising players who have been transferred, not loaned.
  6. There are quite a lot of examples if you google it, but generally these contractual details aren't going to reach the media or public. That is why I mentioned subsidising wages being a part of FM, because I know for a fact that SI have talked to numerous people in the sport, club & agents about such things.
  7. Ok, for a start Man United are subsidising Wayne Rooney's wages at Everton.
  8. Already had a lot of money in with van dijk that hasn't been spent. Plus the Tadic money.
  9. It happens a reasonable amount, which is why it is included in FM. SI have contacts at a lot of clubs and agents to get contracts accurate and matching real life. They have a close relationships with Watford, AFC Wimbledon and others. The game is mocked by some on here, but it is built to be a simulation of the real sport and is respected within the sport which is why many clubs use its database for scouting.
  10. Southampton FC‏Verified account @SouthamptonFC #SaintsFC is delighted to announce that goalkeeper @Alex_Macca23 has today signed a new four-year contract at the club!
  11. I made no mention of loans. Transfer him and subsidise his wages until 2022. That would make him a more attractive proposition compared to having to match or get close to his current wages.
  12. Not particularly complicated and financially it may be the best way to get rid of him. His wages will probably put a lot of clubs off even if they think he is of the quality they need.
  13. Saints could offer to subsidise the gap in wages. That way he wouldn't lose out financially from his current deal until 2022.
  14. How have you worked that out? Can you name the last summer where Saints only signed 1 player?
  15. Why have you jumped to that conclusion? Lemina is a central midfielder, Elyounoussi is a winger/attacking midfielder. They aren't really competing for the same role.
  16. When did I say he wasn't born in Morocco? Plus in any case, he was not born in the same country as Boufal. My point was it is daft to make sweeping generalisations on character traits based on nationality.
  17. Hopefully Armstrong's surging runs won't leave Saints stretched at the back...
  18. Arilas Ould-Saada‏ @arilasos @arilasos Mohamed Elyounoussi’s agent is currently negotiating personal terms with Southampton. The player is expected to fly to England tonight or tomorrow for a medical.
  19. Pete O'Rourke‏ @SportsPeteO 3m3 minutes agoMore Everton and Southampton have bid for Borussia Monchengladbach's Danish defender Jannik Vestergaard. #EFC #saintsfc #borussia ............ 6 foot 6 centre back
  20. That is not a question.
  21. Did they? How exactly did they word it? There is a significant difference between "bid accepted" and "done deal".
  22. That is from yesterday and it states a fee hasn't been agreed, Sky today claim to have new news that a fee close to £18m is close to being agreed. Things may have moved on since yesterday Boss! New news often (but not always) trumps old news
  23. May need to change thread title to £18m... SKY SOURCES: @AFCAjax close to agreeing £18m deal with @SouthamptonFC for Dusan Tadic. #SSN
  24. In what article did they say that?
