  1. Far more resources available, plus a better transport system in London.
  2. I'm puzzled how you've worked that out. Can you provide an example of that ever happening in English professional football?
  3. Selling a defender for a world record £75m fee to one of the world's richest clubs is not a joke or something to be embarrassed by.
  4. The pitch will be fine with the undersoil heating, what may call it into doubt is if the area surrounding the stadium is deemed unsafe for supporters.
  5. No we wouldn't, it doesn't matter if we have Koeman, Pochettino, Klopp or Pellegrino... players leave for the money.
  6. Why do you have to sing to enjoy football? It is possible to enjoy the game without singing and just watch it. People enjoy things in different ways and don't have to sing just because others do.
  7. Have you really met many people that don't want others to sing? Wanting people to sit down is hardly unreasonable, not everyone is able to stand easily for 90 minutes and many have views obscured by those in-front. Standing can be very selfish at football games if obstructing the view of those behind you.
  8. Does it? Just because something hasn't been made public doesn't mean many of our players wouldn't attract the interest of others if made available. You've jumped to conclusions there! Bertrand, Cedric, Hoedt, Lemina, Romeu, Hojbjerg, Boufal, Ward-Prowse, Tadic & Gabbiadini and a few others would likely be of interest to some good clubs.
  9. Snowing where you are? Do you have the day off school/college/uni/work? The Football Manager 2018 winter update is now out! See if you can manage Southampton better than Pellegrino (may not be too hard! )
  10. This is a nonsense. Saints played 4-2-3-1 (one upfront) for the majority of the 2014/15 & 2015/16 seasons, scored a lot of goals and finished 7th & 6th in the Premier League. Playing one upfront is fine... if the manager sets the players out with instructions and mentality to support the lone front man well. That is the issue with Pellegrino, not there only being one striker.
  11. Why not? The Premier League is a very attractive pull for managers, Saints have a good but mismanaged squad, a very healthy wage & transfer budget in European football terms and can offer any manager a large wage.
  12. Confirmed by who? That is just the default time & date for all the quarter finals, not the actual confirmed one.
  13. It was installed in 2014 to meet PL regulations meaning every stadium has to have it... https://twitter.com/adgray13/status/466648894173360129/photo/1 https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?50245-Undersoil-heating-being-installed-at-St-Mary-s#.WpashJPFIk9 Doesn't mean a game won't be postponed as if the areas surrounding the stadium are deemed unsafe they'll call it off. The pitch will be fine however.
  14. Hoedt is light years ahead of Hooiveld in quality. Some people are far too quick to jump on one misjudged kick in a game and ignore his quality in the rest of the match.
  15. Who would you play in central midfield then?
  16. Can you name a league in world football that has better quality squads in the bottom 10 clubs? Lots of teams being close in points at the bottom of the league does by default mean the league quality is bad. It shows they are of similar(ish) quality.
  17. 11 points would equal 38 points With 10 games to go 12 teams are at least 5 points below that figure (many significantly below), it is hard to see enough of them getting enough points where 38 points is the cut off, due to them all taking points of each other and the top 6 generally winning most games against the bottom 14.
  18. Penny Crayon?
  19. Hojbjerg, Romeu and Ward-Prowse would all likely attract top flight interest from a major European league.
  20. I'm puzzled how you've reached that conclusion. We have 5 wins from 28 games... yet we are not in the relegation zone... other teams have a worse record than us.
  21. It would be a disaster for the club to go down. The colossal loss in revenue is in no way a good thing, I struggle to see how anyone can suggest that it would be a 'blessing in disguise'.
  22. 2 assists in his last 2 games and a lot of good hold up play.
  23. I posted that at half time, in the first half Stoke were dreadful.
