  1. Quite often when Koeman is asked about players and he isn't interested in them he dismisses the rumour completely. Although he didn't confirm interest in van Dijk, he doesn't do his usual thing of ruling it out... https://audioboom.com/boos/3418815-ronald-koeman-talks-to-adam-blackmore-about-signing-steven-caulker-others

  3. Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport 13m13 minutes ago #saintsfc @RonaldKoeman: "I still want two or three more players - we need competition for places".
  4. Monk thinks he is the main target... Alderweireld = van Dijk Gardos (injured) = Caulker
  5. Thats not unusual for a loan like this.
  6. We have Cedric Soares and Cuco Martina as right backs.
  7. You are, as if he qualified as an under 15 in 2015/16 he wouldn't be able to sign as a 1st year scholar. Plus his DOB makes him too old to be an under 16 this season. He was playing up year groups last season, as he was technically an under 16 but played for the under 18s and under 21s.
  8. Born on 8th February 1999 shows that is wrong. That puts him in the same age bracket as all the others. Yes, he played for the under 18s and under 21s last season, but he was in the under 16 age bracket, not under 15. If he was a year younger, then he'd be going to school in September 2015, not joining as a 1st year scholar and training every day at Staplewood.
  9. If he was an under 15 last season he'd still be at school in 2015/16. He is in the same year group as the rest of them. Born 8/2/99 He joined Saints in August 2014 and played for the under 16's in 2014/15.
  10. Really? Ben Rowthorn Calum Slattery Ben Cull Tyreke Johnson Connor Langan Were all in Southampton's under 16's.
  11. That is what they said and its wrong.
  12. Whoever it was that said only two under 16's had been given contracts was wrong.
  13. Thomas O’Connor Neal Osborn Dan N’Lundulu Tyreke Johnson Callum Slattery Connor Langan Yann Valery Ben Cull Siph Mdlalose Rugare Musendo Ben Rowthorn
  14. Did you read what I actually said? It would appear not. I was talking about the best view of the match, not the atmosphere of different areas. In terms of the best view you can get at St Mary's or any other ground, its best to be in line with the halfway line and reasonable high up. If you aren't as interested in watching the match and want to goad the away fans, sing songs and be a long way from one of the goals then the Northam is best.
  15. For those that missed episode 1... Some great work from Saints' media team.
  16. Well its not like sitting behind a pillar at Goodison Park or Loftus Road, but in terms of view of a football game I'd much rather be on the halfway line at the back of the Itchen or Kingland than behind the goals or in the corners. Which is why they are the more expensive seats and the main TV camera uses that position.
  17. Why do you think the main TV camera is on the halfway line at the back? Why do you think the directors box is on the halfway line? Why do you think the most expensive seats in the stadium are on the halfway line? If you sit behind the goal or in one of the corners you are a very long way from one of the goals. If you sit and the front of the stand you don't get a good view of the pitch as a whole. The best view is from the back of the stand in line with the halfway line. As I said, had you left it until today for any reason you'd have been left without. Make sure you are quick for the big league games.
  18. When the Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Man City tickets go sale you won't have your pick until the members have had theirs. - 21,000 season tickets holders - 3,000 away fans - 1,700 hospitality seats - for example 2,000 members snapped up tickets Leaves you scrambling for a seat on general sale with roughly only 4,000 left in the stadium. Yes, if you are early you will get one, but if you are not quick it'll sellout and you'd be left without. Plus those 4,000 will largely be in areas with the poorer views so you'd have less choice. Perhaps I've been conservative with the member numbers, if its larger then the general sale numbers will be squeezed even more for the more attractive games and it'll be even harder to get a good seat.
  19. So what? Being a season ticket holder or member would have given you a better choice of view. You got a ticket before it sold out as you were quick, had you not been then you wouldn't have a ticket as it sold out and would have been left without one like many others.
  20. Your point being? You had less choice when picking a seat compared to a member and had you left it until yesterday you would have been unable to get a ticket apart from in hospitality.
  21. How many players from those sides would you want in our starting XI? Lets take Stoke for example... are you aware so far this summer they have lost Begovic, Moses and N'Zonzi from their squad of last season. Pretty big players for them. Have they replaced them with sufficient quality to overtake us?
  22. As far as evidence goes its umm... not great... Troy Bennett‏@troydbennett Steven Caulker in Harley St. Medical? #saintsfc #qpr not good photo, but was him. Even if it is him in the photo, it certainly doesn't prove that he is only his way to Saints. Its just a photo of a man walking down a street.
  23. Why is it irrelevant? You were the one that made the claim that Saints lost out to WBA. Why are you now backtracking? How do you know what the club is doing? Just because things aren't being reported on a daily basis in the press, that doesn't mean the club aren't working on something. Why have you limited it to only those two possibilities? Why do you think something can only happen if its in the public domain?
