  1. On the day the Jobsite deal extension was announced, Nick Gold from Jobsite in the second half of this video told the Pompey news that they are going to increase the amount of their branding at Fratton Park... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/video/business-and-money/pompey-sign-new-jobsite-deal-4186227891001 It still amazes me how Mark Catlin is a CEO of a multi million pound turnover company, he can barely string a coherant sentence together. He just sounds... (how should I put this nicely?)... thick and of course delusional which is a prerequisite to be connected with Pompey.
  2. @bigadamsport It's our understanding #Pompey have made an approach to Chesterfield FC to speak to their manager Paul Cook about vacant job at Fratton Park With 2 games left Chesterfield are 6th in League One and looking good for a playoff spot, he could be a Championship manager next season... or join a bottom half League Two club.
  3. You think in 6 years time Gallagher will be playing in the 6th tier of English football? He is already significantly above the quality of that level and top Championship clubs keep being linked with a loan for him for next season... http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Derby-County-Rams-linked-Saints-striker-Sam/story-26376285-detail/story.html Paterson got game time for us in 2008/2009 because we were a mess and had to play whatever kids we had good or bad. That is not the case now.
  4. He was asked about him being included this weekend and gave an honest answer (surely thats what we want from a manager isn't it?)... we have players ahead of him in the pecking order for a place in the match day 18 squad. Koeman also said about Gallagher today... he is "a young player with a lot of development and a lot of interest for Southampton". Doesn't sound like a manager who doesn't rate him to me.
  5. At least try to get remotely close to spelling the name correctly of the man you insult. You haven't even got the right letters, let alone the right order for them! Neither of them are crap, they clearly have a lot of talent and technical ability if you watch them. Gallagher will likely get his chance under Koeman next season, remember he is still only 19 years old.
  6. Alderweireld in training today...

  8. What definition of "crap" are you using? Pelle is not "crap", yes he's had a barren spell in front of goal but he is still a key part in the way the team play and is a key reason as to why we have done so well this season. Long and Pelle are current internationals and despite what you think they have done well this season, we aren't going to suddenly drop them at this point in the season for Gallagher. The bar this season is higher than it was last season. The reason Gallagher got game time last season was because we lacked depth in attacking areas. This season we have more attacking options, and Gallagher will find it harder to get a spot on the bench. You only need to listen to Koeman to see all this is the case.
  9. Thats is a huge leap you just made there. A 19 year old not making the match day 18 of a team 7th in the Premier League does not automatically mean the manager doesn't "rate" him. Koeman said today... Gallagher is "a young player with a lot of development and a lot of interest for Southampton"
  10. What about the image of Tom Jones now in your head?
  11. We normally retort to them with "We are Southampton, we sing our own songs". I'm suggesting we sing Liverpool's, Stoke's, West Ham's, Man City's song to show how absurd it is they sing the traditional song of another club and many of them think it is their own.
  12. When Spurs fans sing a hybrid version of our traditional song it grates with me. There are Spurs fans who think we are singing their song and aren't aware of the proper lyrics.
  13. From an interview done today... Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach 10m10 minutes ago Ronald Koeman says @AlderweireldTob's injury is "looking positive", so he could play against #THFC. He will have a clearer idea on Thursday.

  15. In the past the response to Spurs fans singing it has been to retort with... "We are Southampton, we sing our own songs".
  16. Do you judge players solely on goals scored and assists?
  17. The article is fundamentally flawed, they are using 2013/14 wages to discuss the 2014/15 league table.
  18. Regarding Harrison Reed's suspension in a non first team game, the FA website says... http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/suspensions

  20. He has only recently been used at right back, normally a centre back until an injury left Saints short at right back.
  21. Ings is 22, Austin is 25. Both had their 1st proper season at Championship level in 2011/12, despite Ings being 3 years younger! When Ings is Austin's age he'll be a very good player. I'd be happy with either, but to dismiss Ings' talent is wrong to do.
  22. He is 22 years old and playing for the team bottom of the league. How many goals were you expecting him to score? Its clear he has a lot of talent and to describe him as an "average basic Championship player" is nonsense.
