  1. They have a rich Russian owner - Maxim Demin pumping money in. Not there is anything automatically wrong with that, we benefitted from something similar.

  3. From this... to this, and... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Qqd6T_A9LY Well its a nice dream!
  4. Yes it does, because it makes it harder for them both to overtake Bournemouth.
  5. As Steve said above, its nothing like Wimbledon. Wimbledon didn't have an owner pumping in the kind of money Bournemouth's owner is. tbf even with the owner's money what they've done is still impressive, as they are competing with clubs that have parachute payments and rich owners themselves.
  6. He has been injured, if he wasn't then he'd be playing for them.
  7. The prices were announced last summer, not today. The category system is to reflect demand for tickets, not solely the quality of the opposition. Last home game of the season whoever it was against would be a sellout, so with the demand high the price was also going to be high. That is how markets work.
  8. Teams are... Werder Bremen Valencia Red Bull Salzburg Southampton Looks like a Europa League group...! Hopefully a dress rehearsal for the real thing. http://www.werder.de/en/profis/54331.php
  9. Long and Rodriguez have both been used out wide for Saints.

  11. If they were average for the Premier League, they'd be in mid table.
  12. Saints have been making regular updates all evening of the game on Twitter.
  13. Some away fans at Ewood Park...
  14. Why? Sunderland have better players than Birmingham.
  15. Monday 20th April.
  16. This side would give Pompey a tricky match and would most likely beat them... Gazzaniga Mugabi McCarthy Wood Targett Gape Reed Gallagher Hesketh McQueen Seager
  17. Blackburn's 1st team have a game tomorrow evening, Saints don't. Looks like Harrison Reed is playing... Harrison Reed ‏@HarrisonReed 2m2 minutes ago Let's go!! First leg tonight at Ewood Park .............. Targett probably will as well.
  18. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC 3m3 minutes ago Afraid we're not allowed to stream the game on YouTube. #saintsfc
  19. When Saints beat Sunderland 8-0 and then a week later Bournemouth beat Birmingham 8-0 their chairman Jeff Mostyn stated in the press that Bournemouth win was more impressive as it was away from home. Ignoring that Sunderland are a Premier League side and are better than Birmingham. They'll probably be looking for any little thing like that they can twist next year, but I doubt they'll be 5th in the Premier League after 32 games next season.
  20. "Clinical finisher" just means he is good at shooting. Every team should want someone who is good at finishing moves off with a goal, I don't see how a team can't be "built for that". Regarding Charlie Austin, I've seen a few Saints fans think he is quite small... he is actually only 2 inches shorter than Pelle.
  21. What do you mean by that?
  22. Now this would be entertaining and a disaster waiting to happen... Tony Husband ‏@TonyHusbandBBC 26m26 minutes ago #pompey Steve Claridge says he would do the job in a "heartbeat." https://audioboom.com/boos/3078287-pompey-legend-steveclaridge-talks-to-bbcradiosolent-following-awford-s-departure
