  1. Come on, you must be trolling now. Please show me good evidence that Saints definetely made a bid for Chester? You've already been shown to jump to conclusions over Chambers. Wenger today stated Saints haven't approached Arsenal to sign him on loan. You really need to stop taking every single press report as 100% true and then twist it negatively to find something to beat Saints with.
  2. This summer we sold 2 starters and replaced them with Portuguese and Dutch international players of a good calibre. Last summer we sold 4 starters and improved first XI quality and squad depth = got more points, more goals, less conceded & higher league finish No player in their right mind would do that if offered similar amounts of playing time. I very much doubt Saints we interested in him at all, let alone competing with bids and contracts with West Brom for him. We'll be looking for a higher calibre of first choice centre back than Chester.
  3. Wenger today confirmed Saints haven't approached Arsenal for Chambers... "They didn’t try to get Chambers back on loan" So... as I said earlier... you were jumping to conclusions!
  4. 2012/13 - Dalek's head - 17th Reality - 14th 2013/14 - Dalek's head - 17th Reality - 8th 2014/15 - Dalek's head - 17th Reality - 7th
  5. Well thats not true.
  6. 8 Vitesse Arnhem players were refused UK entry, had to spend time in Paris getting Visas sorted. Not great preparation for game on Thursday as missed training.
  7. The CEO & founder of our sponsor thinks so... Steven Lewis ‏@steve_veho 2h2 hours ago Great to see sell out against #Vitesse and all season tickets sold. We need a bigger stadium! #saintsfc
  8. Making a song with all the profits going to charity is "cringeworthy"? I don't see how you've compared that to this...
  9. (I note you didn't actually address any of my rebuttal, so I expect you'll be continuing with the same line of alpine_saint "logic" in the future)
  10. Cameo from Paul Jones in the video.
  11. Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham 12m12 minutes ago James Chester close to leaving #hcafc. West Brom the likely destination.
  12. Ronald Koeman ‏@RonaldKoeman 11m11 minutes ago Todays training in the stadium! What a great pitch to play football! Thursday sold out! Thanks for the support!
  13. Why? We don't need another striker and if Lambert moves it'll be to get regular gametime which he wouldn't get at Saints.
  14. Would you like a bite? "As usual", you mean like last summer when many people (yourself included) predicted our transfer actively would get us relegated and it ended up with Saints finishing in their highest ever Premier League position and qualifying for Europe. Do you not think the recruitment department deserves some credit over the last 6 years for seeing us rise from 68th to 7th in England? What do you mean by this? Just because you make a signing in August, or even late in August doesn't mean it is a "panic buy". Alderweireld and Mane were signed late in August last summer, have you considered other factors mean some transfers are delayed due to clubs holding out for money or trying to sign replacements and players waiting to see if they can get a better deal? We definitely need a centre back or two. But do you honestly think the club aren't working on this? Just because its not in the press, doesn't mean they aren't working on signings. As for a new striker... why? We have a lot of attacking options in the squad now.
  15. No Alpine, there is no "maybe" needed you have definitely jumped to conclusions based on no evidence. That is what jumping to conclusions is all about and you are an expert at it! - Do you have any good evidence Saints made a bid for Chambers? Just because a paper said it, doesn't make it true. - Do you have any evidence Saints don't have a list of centre backs they are targeting or even in discussions about? - Do you have any evidence Saints aren't close to signing a centre back?
  16. I don't know the details, but at a guess any feuds/rivalries built up with another club could for example impact on your ability to do transfer/loan deals with them. People are often dismissive of small features on FM, but it is all these thousands of features collectively that make it a more immersive experience.
  17. The hospitality seat question has some relevance to it, given that there are over 1,700 of them in the stadium.
  18. New rivalries can start with other clubs over the course of playing the game.
  19. Just because he decided to support the same group of 11 men kicking a ball around a field as you doesn't mean he represents or should embarrass you. If that is what happened then he embarrassed himself, not you or any other Saints fan.
  20. van Dijk has just moved into midfield in your scenario, Saints would be on the attack at this point. Why so rigid with the tactics? This didn't apply to Ronald Koeman when he played as a centre back, he often liked to break forward in open play.
  21. Does that include hospitality and boxes?
  22. He does it because its effective. Victor Wanyama?
  23. Not to anyone that didn't make it. Just because they've decided to support the same group of 11 men kicking a ball around a field as you, does't mean they represent or should embarrass you.
