  1. Do you think Tesco should subsidise family run corner shops?
  2. Why should the Premier League prop up the finances of other businesses? If 4th tier clubs lived within their means then they wouldn't be struggling. Handouts artificially boost their revenue, it doesn't solve the causes of why they are struggling financially.
  3. You think when we were in League 1 that I said Saints were the "best side in the country outside of the top 4"? Utter bull****! I said no such thing.
  4. Who is this "wise man"? What are you talking about?
  5. A team in League 1 the 5th best team in the whole of England? What are you talking about?
  6. Factored what in? A team in the 4th tier in 2017/18 season has no impact what-so-ever on the value of "product" the Premier League is selling to TV companies. So why should they benefit financially from other companies doing well?
  7. No, I think all the money should be divided up solely among the 20 Premier League teams with no parachute payments of solidarity payments to the Championship, League One or League Two. The amount of money you get should be as it is now partly based on how many game you are live on TV but mainly on league position at the end of the season.
  8. That is an irrelevant question, they are in it and they have to play someone. Teams in the 4th tier are completely irrelevant to the Premier League deal, teams like Saints aren't.
  9. Pathetic yet again. Petty insults and not even a brief hint of why you disagree with me, let alone a proper rebuttal.
  10. Man Utd and Chelsea have to play someone in the league, the teams they play deserve to be paid. What have Pompey for example done to deserve the Premier League TV money to be handed to them when they are in League 2?
  11. What are you claiming I should have learned? No need for that.
  12. None of the current top 6 in the Championship have parachute payments.
  13. The bottom placed team in the Premier League earns more in TV money than what are considered large European clubs at the top of their leagues. The Premier League clubs even at the bottom can pick them of for players. The money trickles down when Premier League clubs buy players from clubs in the Football League. What are you claiming is unfair? Why should businesses in the lower leagues get hand outs? Why should for example Pompey benefit from people wanting to watch the Premier League?
  14. On the positive side, more money in the Premier League means Saints get more money to improve their squad and the club as a whole.
  15. Gary Cotterill ‏@gary_cotterill 31m31 minutes ago Clever. LCFC save cash. Don't sack Manager after all. Wait for FA charge. In meantime blame media for getting it wrong. Then get rid free.
  16. I'm curious to know if that was a typo or not!
  17. What is your definition of "making it"? At the age of 20 he is regularly playing for a team 3rd in the Premier League, has been captaining England under 21's, is probably on the verge of a senior call-up and despite missing a number of weeks through injury has a lot of assists this season.
  18. Plus that was a 42 game league season.
  19. Think a little harder then! Because there are a huge number of 19 year strikers at Premier League clubs that aren't as good and/or don't have the experience Sam has.
  20. Steven Caulker and Richard Dunne
  21. What is the reason Dodd and Williams were sacked and how do you know? Limbrick has been at the club for four and half years in the lower age groups from under 14 to under 16, he has worked with many Saints players now in older age groups.
  22. http://officialjayrodriguez.co.uk/index.php/blog-news/38-new-boots
  23. The day before a game he admits he doesn't know who has final say on tactics or subs. The club really is a mess!
  24. Saints were reported to have had a bid of £4.5m turned down for Sam Byram.
  25. Anthony Limbrick, who has been at the club in roles for the under 14's and under 16's since September 2010. Why? The job of the under 21 and under 18 manager is not to win games, its to develop players to progress to the first team. Something our club does better than possibly any other in the UK. The best Saints under 21 players are with the first team at the top of the Premier League, the best under 18 players are with the under 21 team, which means our under 18's have often used under 16's without the star under 18 players at times.
