That explains it!

He's 31 years old and has only ever played 54 games at Championship level, the last of which was in the 2007/08 season! He is 29 years old and of his 275 career league appearance... - 81 in League 1 - 194 in League 2 What makes you think he'd ever be good enough for the Championship, let alone the Premier League?
-
Not unless we gave him a new contract. If we play him in Europa League and League cup games this coming season as adriansfc is suggesting, when January comes around he will be free to discuss joining foreign clubs on a Bosman in the summer of 2016. His transfer value would be small given the status of only having 6 months left on his contract.

His contract expires on 30th June 2016, his value is dropping by the day.

Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official
Matthew Le God replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
What have Saints said or done that is hypocritical regarding Clyne? -
There is a significant difference between the two.

United to sign Matt Radcliffe following Tottenham match
Matthew Le God replied to Saint86's topic in The Saints
We don't know why he left yet. It could be for reasons completely unrelated to football. -
When did they ever say that? Link?

I think he is far more suited to being a centre back than an attacking right back (which is the type of fullback we need). -

Stephens was used on occasions as a defensive midfielder for Swindon. Bevis Mugabi only played right back because Jake Flannigan got injured, he is normally a centre back. -

Ours is on a completely different scale, scope and specification to Stoke's. Theirs only cost £13m, compared to the eventual £40m at Staplewood. -

Only a handful have spent £40m on an upgrade, like Saints are doing. -
You assuming that is down to injuries... when perhaps it might be that he is playing for a very good Dortmund team and had more significant competition for his place.

Video evidence may make for uncomfortable viewing. 1 Batman, 1 cup.

Can we hold you to that?

Long's fee was widely reported as £12m and Mane missed games due signing very late in the window, playing in the African Nations Cup midway through the season and also was rested on the bench after some other international dates in Africa.

CONFIRMED: Cédric to Saints on four-year deal
Matthew Le God replied to JxgrSaint's topic in The Saints
I fail to see how that would influence Soares' choice of clubs as Lisbon had agreed a fee with both Saints and Stoke. So anything between Sporting and Saints concerning Rojo is irrelevant to his choice. He came to Saints because... - we have a better team with better players - Fonte's influence perhaps played a role, as would working for someone of the standing in European football of Ronald Koeman - we have Europa League football - have better facilities; bigger stadium and the £40m of upgrade at Staplewood training ground is more impressive than Stoke's training ground Its just the Stoke paper ignoring that and looking for conspiracy theories.
