Blackburn Rovers also wanted Steve Kean and Michael Appleton as managers, I don't think they have the best judgement.

No Saints youth in England U18s training squad in January...
Matthew Le God replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
You have to be born on or after 1st January 1996 to be eligible for England under 18's... - Luke Shaw born 12th July 1995 - James Ward-Prowse born 1st November 1994 -
A pass between Fonte and Lovren across the back as they often do counts as a "long ball" even though it is along the floor and not aimless. As for "pass completion rate" that is another stat that can be manipulated to mean whatever you want. Southampton this season have made thousands of passes this season more than Fulham, if Southampton's competition rate for example is 3 per cent below Fulham that still means they have completed a huge amount of passes more than Fulham. In one game this season Southampton completed 611 passes and the opposition only had 104!

Its not a rule, its merely a referee aid so it doesn't matter if some games have it and some don't in a cup competition.

Julio Cesar: I want Money, Cortese: Up your Kazoo.
Matthew Le God replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
Because he is on the decline and so they loaned him out to a bottom half Championship team. -
That doesn't really make sense as a question. Every Southampton shot that went over the line this season has set off the referee's watch telling him its a goal within a second of going over the line, every shot Southampton have had that didn't go in the goal didn't set off the referee's watch.

And lose a huge amount of money for himself and his family. There is a good chance his current wage will be higher now than it will ever be for the rest of his life. Might as well wait until his playing contract ends in 2016 and then move into coaching if he wants. Plus Saints already have a goalkeeper coach that Pochettino likes working with.

Why would he retire when he has 2 years of a professional contract at a Premier League club left?

Panic over, new manager appointed...
-
Do you have a source/link for this?
-
Why do you think Saints would comment merely because some punters have put a bet on our manager to be the new Spurs boss?
-
Yes, but he could do both. Like Guus Hiddink did with Chelsea/Russia.

Not the way a serious businessman should be taking decisions. The club should do its own research into what sized stadium is required, not rely on a few tweets from randoms.
-
Tony Fernandes appears to make business decisions based on a few Tweets he receives. Might explain them ****ing up the transfer policy the last time they made it to the Premier League. Did they do no research into what sized stadium would be suitable before announcing it? Tony Fernandes @tonyfernandes 20h Feedback on stadium has been very good. Please note QPR fans we are a club who will consult and listen. This is your home. Tony Fernandes @tonyfernandes 20h Feedback so far. Maybe a smaller arena 30 or 35. 40 maybe too big straight away. Will look at modular. Keep feeling of Loftus. For sure

If for example you've missed some days during the week of training other players are going to be in better shape to start the game. That doesn't mean you have to be left out entirely and can be on the bench if required.
-
I'm guessing you didn't listen to Pochettino's post match interview where he explained Lallana and Fonte weren't fully fit.

Games played in 2013 by the 17 teams that have been in the Premier League over the two seasons...
-
WBA have only won 7 of their 34 games in this calendar year. What is odd is their official statement says... "despite a substantial investment in the first-team squad" Which is odd because WBA have been one of the relatively low spenders in the Premier League.
-
Means Saints have the joint best defensive record in the Premier League again (along with Everton).
