He does strengthen the squad, and others( including Southampton)certainly rate him. At the end of the day, I’d rather that than being mugged by spurs...

At the end of the day I think he would be worth £15/20m for Saints next season, then go on a free.....

I agree. There comes a point (with every place being worth about 2.5m) it wouldn’t be worth selling against a weakened squad. Let’s hope the KWP price is already agreed. Spurs are sure to try and pull our pants down as they always do..

Should be looking higher, and actually looking and being able to afford higher are two very different things. He now sounds like exactly the type of championship player we actually look at...

In a Premier league where each placing is worth about £2.5m, and relegation is hundreds of millions. If we don’t get a decent offer, I’d just let him see out his contract.......
