It would seem it’s just the Prem season they are desperate to finish. I hear little about completing the season for the other leagues. That in my opinion stinks.....

I hope if they do try and get the season played to it’s conclusion, they don’t just focus on the the EPL. Televise the matches in Leagues 1 and 2 and spread the cash. After all it’s those clubs who will be hit hardest by no income from crowds......

I’m not sure a hairdresser or nail bar is more important than a pub or a coffee shop. There is a huge population out there, living on there own, whose main social interaction will be through meeting friends in pubs and cafes. It is already recognised that major mental health issues are likely to be a result of all this. A nod from the person on the checkout at Sainsbury’s doesn’t quite cut it.

Indeed, the thinking is all so muddled. The moment hairdressers and nail bars get going again, it won’t be possible to keep pubs and restaurants closed. As I type this, there are planes taking off from Heathrow and where ever else, with strangers sat cheek by jowl next to each other......

Still not sure how 22 players plus the officials will be able to practice Social Distancing. Then someone goes clattering into someone else, and the spitting starts. With the best will in the world it’s not possible. The moment that all starts everyone else will be saying why can’t I meet my friends in the pub or coffee shop.

It would have a massive impact on football attendances full stop. Though I don't see how it could ever be law.....

FFP will probably have to be scrapped just to keep football clubs afloat at this time.

I read today that all 24 Championship clubs had discussed the Nuclear option of all going into Administation.....

It will be interesting to see what footballers/PFA do if/when the season is voided. At the moment the clubs are still due to receive more tv money, so deferral is a logical step. Though you would have hoped for more than 10%, with income for the clubs drying up. If/when the season is voided, then it will be interesting to see the attitude of the players/PFA.

Agree, this has to be the most likely scenario. Once players are out of contract the window has to open, as the out of contract players will be free to find new clubs whatever the league decide. Otherwise it would be restraint of trade. No point screwing up next season to save this already screwed up season. Though I would hope we would add more than a defender......
