  1. Has anyone mentioned Andrew Davies? Was brilliant for us, think Stoke then signed him and he went on to do nothing.
  2. Erik Nevland is the man to bring us the goals.
  3. How did the lad playing at centre back alongside Will Wood play when he came on?
  4. If it's for squad depth like Martina, I am all for it.
  5. They aren't bad signings to be fair...
  6. Was a nice bloke and well thought of by the club and players. Be interesting to see how things progress.

If Spurs nip in ahead of us to sign Toby then frankly it is a shambles and some serious questions need to be asked over our transfer committees ability to get signings of truly coveted players over the line.
  8. What worries me is Vurnon Anita came with a similar reputation from Ajax to Newcastle. Dutch international, small, but with bags of talent on the ball. Only good game I've seen him have for Newcastle was the last game of the season against West Ham.
  9. Jon Flanagan is **** poor! Anyone suggesting Clyne wouldn't get in a didd ahead of him needs their heads testing. Glanagan is Championship level at best.
  10. Thanks Nathaniel. Great player for us, has played his part and earned his move. Goes with my best wishes but a shame he's chosen to go to Liverpool. Would have thought better teams would have been interested. Especially for an initial outlay of £10m for an English full back.

    FWIW its Liverpool.
  12. Just me that sees the irony in your last sentence? Given you appear to live in Eastleigh. I think I'd take Grey Street, Newcastle over Eastleigh High Street thanks. If you think Newcastle is hideous you clearly are a fool. Southampton has nothing over Newcastle as a city that would appeal to a young football player earning lots of money. Better football team aside.
  13. From next season is it not right that the Europa League winner qualifies for the next season's Champions League?
  14. I think they are all probably a bit past it now but good suggestions champ.
  15. Can I stop cringing yet?
  16. I reckon Milner's nailed on to join Chelsea. He's a very Mourinho-type player.
  17. Flanagan? Give over.
  18. I like his work rate but the simple fact is a number 10 playing behind the forward needs to be creative and chip in with a few goals. He contributes neither of these. Its what our side is lacking really. A creative number 10 with the capability of putting it in the top bin from 25 yards. Would give our opposition something different to worry about. At the moment our attacking play is a bit too one dimensional. Get within shooting distance, then play it wide. It would be nice to have a number 10 not afraid of hitting it if the opportunity presents itself. Part of me still thinks Gaston might be in RK's plans when he returns next season.
  19. Possibly but lets not let Pardew's recent good form with Crystal Palace cloud our judgement too much. He very nearly got Newcastle relegated last season after a strong start. Who's to say their form would have been any better in the latter half of this season if last season's form was anything to go by. Newcastle fans did not ask for Pardew to be replaced by John Carver. It was a laughable decision made by Mike Ashley in order to save a few quid. Exactly the type of stunt that Newcastle fans have become accustomed to with Ashley running the club. I don't think you can argue that Newcastle are not a big club. Certainly not on the same level as a Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal but about as big as anything underneath that in this country. St James Park is a magnificent stadium and will rival any stadium in the world in terms of atmosphere when they have a team/management that they feel they can get behind.
  20. What an extremely naive post. For a start, they never sacked Pardew. Crystal Palace agreed a compensation package with Newcastle. The Newcastle fans did not turn on Pardew because he failed to deliver success or European football. The Newcastle fans turned on Pardew because in the 5 years he was in charge, he is responsible for every single unwanted managerial record going, including presiding over 4 straight derby defeats against Sunderland. Would we be quite so forgiving of Koeman in the same circumstances? He was a mouthpiece for Mike Ashley, forced talented players out the door and admitted openly that top 10 was the target and the cups were not a priority, thus fielding weakened teams in cup games in order to get knocked out early. Hows that for ambition? Would you like it if Koeman and Kruger/Liebherr all came out and said the same? Pardew also repeatedly turned the club in to a laughing stock and attracted constant negative media attention. Getting caught on camera calling Manuel Pellegrini a "f**king old ****", shoving a linesman during a game and headbutting Hull's David Meyler all come to mind without even thinking. Would you like Koeman to act in such a manner?
  21. For someone who watches Newcastle regularly I'd leave Krul well alone. Not really developed in to the keeper he promised to be when he first broke through. Still has excellent natural reflexes but he is lacking in more or less every other department. At fault for a lot of goals. I do appreciate having Mike Williamson as centre-back somewhat handicaps you though. Realistically, I don't think he'd move anywhere where his place in the first team would be in question. That said, Janmaat is top draw and an ideal replacement for Clyne. Aside from that, I would also be keen on Sissoko, Ayoze and Rolando Aarons.
  22. My life is over. Why is Kodi not working???
  23. He'll go to Chelsea. Tailor-made to play under Mourinho.
  24. Cabaye is not a DM. He's exactly what we could do with (he wouldn't come to us though) but he's not a DM. More of a deep lying playmaker. A footballing quarter back, if you will.
  25. Look through all England's under 16s csptains. Plenty on there who don't go on to make it. We shouldn't be heaping that sort of pressure on the lad just yet. He's far from made it.
