I quite rate him. He's a hard worker and has good pace. Can play as the main forward or in the J-Rod role. £12m is a lot of money but ever club knows we have money to spend which puts 20-30% on top of any fee we'd normally pay. Happy(ish) with this signing.

Haha a Lisbon based player tweeting his heart and mind are in Southampton?
-
Jesus. I bloody hope not.

Can anyone confirm we have agreed an option (and/or) fee for us to buy at if he does well? Absolutely nothing wrong with the loan signing if this is the case. Means he'll be fighting for a long term deal which should keep him on his toes. What we don't want is a straight forward loan deal like Remy at Newcastle last season where the player uses us to put himself in the shop window and holds all the aces when it comes to negotiating a deal to sign permanently.

Sandy, the lesbian from Club jazz magazine. She was filth and I reckon she'd have let me join in.

Nice lads they were but the keepers on the clubs books at that age weren't really up to standard.

Would be very happy with this signing. For me, a much better option than Marshall.
-
I would absolutely crack up if we signed him but really isn't going to happen. Is it?!?!?! No, its not.

Remy over Benteke for me but don't think we'd get either. Happy to be proven wrong of course....

I used to work for Enhance Media who own NORAS. If it's a highly skilled job it might be worth you checking it out. It's free to download. Failing that, I work in online recruitment and know how most job boards are set up and how to write your ad copy to give it maximum exposure. If you'd like me to take a look at your ad and offer advice, I am happy to. Cheers.

So how is going to get the hallowed Number 7 Shirt?

Dont think anyone is worthy and can't see us signing anyone ready to just step in to it. I'd keep it free if thats the case until someone earns it. -
Slats is year below. Reading between the lines, I believe he already has a scholarship but Saints don't want to publicise it and draw further attention to him or set a precedent for other 15 year olds to expect the same.

Carel is decent but apparently a shocking finisher. The good news is he works extremely hard and carves most of the chances out himself. This batch of 16's aren't considered very strong. They had a large amount of 15's playing up with them last season. Joe Lea is the skate who was taking the **** out of Lallana on Twitter a couple of years back and nearly got released because of it. He's pretty useful too though apparently.

To all - you are a commodity and worth a lot to this club. We dont want you to go but if you feel you must, we will let you provided your suitors pay what we feel you are worth. If they do not, we will not be held to random and we expect you to accept it and give your all for us.

Is it only me that thinks the picture looks nothing like him?
-
Murty has left the coaching staff as well.

Surprises me how clueless some people are. There aren't many better 3rd choice centre backs in the Prem yet people still think we should sell him.

Liverpool FC. Is it time to stop any further deals?
sambosa75 replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
Its not the same though is it? I don't recall months of articles and interviews with Southampton old boys commenting on how Jay Rodriguez would be perfect for us in a blatent attempt to unsettle him and then drive his price down as he pushes for the move himself. We submitted a bid to Burnley which they felt was acceptable, agreed personal terms and then signed him. Liverpool are not conducting themselves in the same fashion. -
Gavin DeGraw. He doesn't wanna be anything other than what he's been trying to be lately. As far as I know, he's not been wanting to be a football manager. That rules him out.
-
I've interpreted the statement to say that unless we receive a ridiculous offer for one of our players, we will hold fire on making any decisions until we have a new manager in place. That's totally fair enough I'd say. If someone did offer £40m for Lallana or £30m+ for Shaw, I'd dare say RK and KL would drive them there for the medical themselves, again, fair enough in my opinion if someone is prepared to pay well above true market value. Until they do that though, they've said no-one will go.
-
Do you not agree though that constant references to our history come across as a little disingenious given our relative lack of it though? About the only think that is annoying me about RK. By all means acknowledge our past but don't make out we are Liverpool.
-
Surprised Alan Dzagoev of Russia hasn't been snapped up by one of Europe's big boys yet. Looked a class act at the Euros a couple of years ago.
-
Decent player but some might say he's been over promoted by those close to him. I'd say my nephew but don't want to give his name out!
-
Didn't exactly do Liverpool any harm when the likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid were sniffing about for Suarez last summer did it? Adam's got 4 years remaining on his contract at Southampton. He will have to accept it if Liverpool don't want to pay over the odds.
-
£25m is realistic if we wanted to sell him. Taking in to account the fact he is our most important player, the fact he's in the PFA player of the year, he is English, the new TV money, the remaining 4 years on his contract and the fact that the club (I hope) don't want to sell him, tell them its £40m or nothing. If they want him it should be on our terms, not theirs.
