I’d say the likelihood of having a few more points on the board by virtue of having a more competent keeper in the team throughout the course of the season is high. Regardless, I’m also confident we wouldn’t have won the play-offs with Bazunu in goal either. Luckily we’ll never need to know if I’m right or wrong. All that matters is we are up and he had already proved he is not equipped for the PL.

Didn’t do himself any favours admitting he can’t concentrate for 90 mins. Not many sides going to be comfortable splashing the required sums of money for a player who readily admits he zones out during games.

Think McCarthy will be off. Enough clubs seem happy to take him on as 2nd/3rd choice. What is abundantly clear is the need for a new 1st choice keeper. It’s been a breath of fresh air the last few games having a keeper in the team capable of making some saves.

Regardless, it’s a completely routine stop and appears to be your primary example of him being a competent keeper. Of which he is not.

You can base it on the fact that there were 2 or 3 chances for West Brom yesterday that required reflex saves that Bazunu simply never makes. Either anecdotally or statistically.

He should do. He’s failed in his remit of getting us promoted as we certainly won’t win the playoffs. Probably thankfully so as the team is miles off the required standard for the PL. As manager, he has to carry the can. Far too many major issues he seems incapable or uninterested in fixing. Time for a new approach next season with the club about the significantly tighten their belt financially.
