Proper big time Charlie. Took his kids out of a local private school “due to security reasons” because a handful of kids asked for his autograph at an open day! Good riddance.

I think it’d be hilarious if we get to the end of the transfer window and Newcastle announce the loan signings of Benzema, Neves and Kante.
-
Most exciting/shrewd signing since SR took over in my opinion.
-
Lets hope he's got better vision than his great uncle, Ray.
-
I reckon Martin will want to bring his own in if JWP goes. There’s not really any natural replacement already in the squad other than potentially Stephens but he is currently probably our 4th choice centre back.
-
I enjoyed George Burley's Ipswich quite a bit too. Had some decent players. Bramble, Reuser, Finidi George, Magilton, Holland, the Bents, Marcus Stewart. Didn't they finish 5th around then?
-
Out of his depth from day 1 and should never have been given the job permanently when caretaker. Embarrassing that the ownership basically gave up on our Premier League status at such a relatively early stage of the season.
-
Everton. Don’t care who else just as long as them whiny c*nts go down.
-
They showed more fight, grit and urgency in their game today than we have in 36 games combined this season.
-
Arsenal home and away. He was brilliant in not turning up and I hope we see more of the same from him next season.
-
We showed some bottle and urgency in the last battle. Nothing of the sort in this one.
-
Cheerio for now Premier League. Inevitable now for a few seasons but it’s been a hell of a ride.
-
Why is this a massive game? Ship has well and truly sailed guys. We are down.
-
Fucking spineless bottle jobs. Bazunu is shite.
-
Sleep walk towards a boring goalless draw, creating next to nothing all game and then concede in the last 10 mins to lose 1-0.
-
Dean Richards on a free and selling 2/3 years later for £8m is pretty decent business I’d say. In todays money that’s probably be around £20m.
-
I get extremely nervous when we spend north of £20m on a player. For us to do so, that player has to improve the side significantly. Not blend into the dirge that we already have, which is basically what he has done. It then just becomes a valid excuse for the leadership not to invest any further in the squad.

How much did this lad cost us? Is there anything he’s offered us so far that Tella, Edozie, Walcott or even Djenepo couldn’t have done? If there is, I haven’t seen it. Him and Onuacho have got to go down as two of the most expensive, pointless panic buys in our history. Absolutely dreadful. Not necessarily their fault but as a club we don’t seem to have a clue what to do with them.
-
Baffled by other's comments on here. He looks absolutely dreadful from what I've seen. For such a man mountain he's offered little to no physical or aerial threat other than 1 headed attempt on goal away to Chelsea.
-
Why it’s not happened tonight I’ll never know. Can’t come as a surprise to him surely.
-
True but would do himself out of millions. Can’t blame him for not. He doesn’t owe us anything.
-
I’d actually love to see this. If we are going to go down may as well complete the circle. He’d have enough good will to see us down, have a pre season and see how we get on.
-
Watching it on my dodgy firestick. Anyone else’s sound gone?
-
Agreed. He's definitely not the Manchego for.
-
He was a grate keeper.
