Interesting article on BBC website today https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c8ew2lk4zp9o David Moyes states emphatically that he does not want a relegation fight for his next (last?) job in football management. He's 61, so who can blame him. If we did call on him it seems unlikely we got beyond the front door. Oops!

Isn't that exactly what we have been trying to do for the last two or three seasons but sadly the players that we chose to bring in to give them that chance have mostly proved to be flops confirming why they weren't given many chances by anyone else in the first place. Frankly we've been there, done that to death. A new approch is badly needed either by growing our own and keeping them or digging deep into the SR coffers to bring in players of proven quality. Yes, that will be mightily tough to do in Division 2 but not impossible surely. It will take time to rebuild a team of genuine quality and above all we will need to be patient. A quick return to the PL should not be a priority as we build for a more sustainable future.

"You cannot be serious"
-
Aribo is an embarrassment Need him off at HT
-
Aribo is rubbish and should be nowhere near the starting XI Jack's future will be on the beach
-
Doubt it. As we saw the other night they have several better youngsters than Tyler.
-
Why not use his proper name?
-
We still lost so it remains to be seen whether a new way of playing produces positive results.
-
It can't be his handwriting that you dislike as he hasn't signed a contract yet.
-
It's the threat of enforcement that will be the deterrent. There will be no anonymity anymore and that will deter many from abusive comments.
-
It is far more serious than you appear to think. No joking matter.
-
Very unlikely. It seems to me that SR were so totally committed to Martin that they had no plans to change him so had not bothered to think about a successor. Nothing wrong with that. Doubt Man City or Arsenal have identified successors either

This is the first of five winnable games in a row. That one letter change of management may be enough to inspire the team to three points. 2-0 to Saints. The march back to respectibility begins here Altogether now chaps; We are Southampton, we are not going down!
-
He should be made captain but probably won't be here for much longer
-
It appears the starting gun has fired already.
-
… and we have 5 very winnable matches in a row coming up. Just saying!
-
Catch up.

He's a football manager not Bertrand Russell. Pragmatism is not Philosophy.

There will be so much Fake news around that we should take all reports with a pinch of salt. The Allardyce nonsense needs a whole salt sellar's worth! Bookies need to get their acts together quickly. Too busy congratulating themselves and spending their earnings over the Strictly result.
-
It's only an hour journey.
-
Did I dream this or is it real? Too mich fake news around.
-
Based on what exactly?
-
We are too far south for our own good. Footie is a northern game.

By which time the poor sod (TD) will be nearing the end of his career
