Players have to change in the loo's?

Saints 0 Hull 0 - Match & Reactions Thread

Not dumb, any two facts can be stitched together to make a case for whatever you want. That's what I was pointing out to Shroppie. Cause and effect are much harder to establish. JWP's presence or absence on the pitch yesterday had no bearing g on the outcome whatsoever as well you know! -

Tongue in cheek or a wind-up hopefully. Many will also have noticed Shroppie that without poster boy on the pitch we were able to keep a clean sheet. -

I'll be glad when this season is over and Puel is just a memory, Leibherr will have sold up to somebody who actually cares about winning something, Kreuger behaves like the great communicator he claims to be and tells us something / anything of genuine value, we have players who want to play and stay with our club, the fans opinions matter, it is a pleasure once again to walk up to St Mary's on match day, that bloody "My Way" has been binned, the PA system does not deafen us all and is comprehensible and we don't have to agonise about whether or not to renew our season tickets! The match yesterday? I loved the bit in the middle with the kids racing around with footballs, only bright spell in a waste afternoon. -
You make it sound so easy but our reluctance to spend money combined with Reed's inability to close a deal quickly more or less guarantees that at best only one or two new players will arrive in the summer so surely the priority is in the midfield? Davis is ageing and Ward-Prowse is not improving suggesting that he will never be the answer to any question. If VVD recovers fitness and stays then our board will see no need of buying another CB.

They will interesting possibilities for sure with the efficient.

So Howe is the best English manager? What a load of crap! Believe this and you'll believe anything. Puel at 29 and better than Koeman, you couldn't make it up except of course that they did. Isn't L'Equipe French? Mais oui monsieur... says it all really.
-
So it's the refs fault that we are crap in defence and toothless in attack and Puel has about as much tactical nous as Edna Savage?
-
Was Ward-Prowse playing tonight? Didn't see him on Sky UHD. Wonder why Puel didn't play him?
-
1-1, you read it here first

People no longer speculating about which team Puel will put out? Lost interest. I would like to see W-P and Redmond on the bench for a change Clasie-Romeu-Davis in mid field
-
Totally agree. You'd think as they play in England that all PL clubs would try to field at least a couple of players in every match or be forced to!
-
Ephgrave Ramsey Rochford Smith Webber Mallett Day Curtis Wayman Bates Wrigglesworth That was a team!

Not quite joined up there old chap, next you'll be telling us you never saw Don Roper?

Complacency par excellence! So it's good enough to just scrape by? The whole point of the U23's is to find, develop and feed next gen players into our first team but if the development coaching is useless we will be back to where we started before all the investment in the Academy began. Buying in players at exhorbitant prices who at best might be journeymen discarded by the scouting systems of the top clubs in this country and abroad. We'll not unearth many 23+ year old nuggets that way so a successful Academy is one of the few ways we might compete better in future. Right now you'd have to argue that it is not fulfilling its expected potential. Surely not all the kids in there are failures which relegation might suggest. Much more likely is that our kids like Sims, Seagar others are nor being taught properly. We should be winning this league not propping it up!

Could be down to 12th before Tuesday. Hull won't beat Watford and Stoke will murder Swansea. I'd rather have points than games in hand especially ones against Arsenal, Manure & the Scousers. Chelsea will murder us.

Past time for a re-shuffle of the coaching set up. Hunter & Jaidi are not setting up the team properly or getting the best from the obviously talented players under their control. Time and again we are firing blanks and given away sloppy goals. Having said all season that 'they would take the positives out of the loss'' and "we must learn form our mistakes" it is fairly evident that they are serving up the same old dross in the same old way with the same old inevitable results and have learned absolutely bugger-all all season. Get rid and start again. How does getting relegated support our vision FFS!

What you need to remember is that Terry was an out and out right winger in the days of forward lines of 5 and his main job was to dribble to the bye-line and get crosses in for Ron Davies, Derek Reeves, Martin Chivers and the other centre forwards of his time so you can't really compare his strike rate with people who's main job was to 'hit the back of the net' or "score goals" in those days. Having seen him play literally hundreds of times, he was certainly one of the most gifted and exciting players ever to wear the red & white stripes if not quite the best ever and of course he played for England despite the lower divisions caveat that some rush to point out. He was very approachable as a person and would always stop for a chat. He was alway out and about in town and revelled in his fame unlike all our invisible mega-stars of today. I took a great pic of him in the Director's box at the end of last season but don't know how to post it. He's not been in the box this season as far as I know.

Man of the Match!
-
No good relying on Dragon's Den, that don't have any money either
-
Not good news. If Kat is stuck with an unsaleable asset but wishes to diversify her investments portfolio she might be tempted to do what the Glazers did to Man U by refinancing the club through debt and we all know where that could lead.

The centre of gravity of the PL is certainly shifting South, just need Reading to win the play-offs and Bristol to start taking the round ball game seriously.

OK, so lets hope that our players have not decided to stop playing for Puel, the way that bunch of barstewards up at Leicester stopped playing for Ranieri. -

Gabbiadini was only put in out of desperation, Puel said in his presser that Gabbiadini was 'a possibility' for the bench to get some game time which indicated that he might get 30 minutes at the end. I was surprised as everyone else that he started and lasted 60 minutes. The last thing we wanted was for him to over-do it and re-igniting his injury so we lost him for the rest of the season. The over-whelming opinion on here is that if Carceras plays we have to pay him which is the last thing those tight Rrses up stairs are going to do now that Liebherr wants to cash in her chips. -
