  1. That's what they did on Saturday and a fat lot of good that did!
  2. Grand Larceny, no less, somebody should swing for this! Have we no pride?
  3. ...and the ones we got were effing awful. They didn't even try to match where you normally sit or how much you normally pay. You would have expected to end up with a similar view and pricing.
  4. The bad news being buried is not this but the deafening silence on transfer dealings.
  5. All holders of Season Tickets are guaranteed a ticket, what's unfair about that? I am surprised how many vocal people on here are moaning about the arrangements but don't support the club enough to buy a ST
  6. Brilliant job lads, absolutely brilliant.
  7. Don't worry Maya is a one club man through and through, just watch his interview of a couple of days ago. Accepts he is one of the 'elders' of our tribe with all the responsibilities that go with it. Has a decent sense of humour too. Guys like him would play without a contract!
  8. Best news in a long, long time. There is something very special about this guy and it is wonderful that he loves it here and wants to stay. Hopefully his commitment will inspire others to stay rather than seek their fortunes elsewhere.
  9. Realistically how can we risk VVD? If he only lasts for 15 minutes we've lost a sub which Puel could not afford to do as he'll want to pack his defence later on especially if we nick one and they have to score 3 to win.
  10. People are wearing pink specs today so you'll get lambasted for such blasphemy had you waited until next week few would probably disagree. Today, I agree with you. Gape has already been shown the door no doubt soon to be followed by a few more when Puel gives up on them. Poor sod, I feel really sorry for him having to turn every one of them into a silk purse.
  11. Probably the same game as you but we all read the game as we see it; opinions different to mine I find interesting and certainly do not incite me to such vitriol.
  12. Looked absolutely lost today, mis-timing most of his jumps under pressure and not getting his head anywhere near the ball. Quite clearly he is not the answer but Les will no doubt tell us that he is.
  13. Beats me how W-P gets MotM when he didn't win a tackle or a header dual all day. Amazing how a goal changes nearly everyone's perception of a player. It was pretty obvious in the first half that his own players were ignoring him when looking for options for a pass. Agreed he improved in the second half.
  14. Isn't it great that everything turned out so well for you in the end. No more worries now that we are home and dry ;-)
  15. .....erh, did you not get that he was being ironic?
  16. ;-) but now tell us what you really think!
  17. There are some really great night clubs there. Fact
  18. Over 13,000 turned up on Wednesday for an U23 match.
  19. Sounds like a plan straight out of Les's manual, a drowning man clutching at any straws.
  20. No. Live commentary from DM & Co on the link you were given at least in UK. Hopeless game by our U23's! Lewis, Reed, JWP, MacQueen, Stevens, Martina so glad old Claude is taking this Cup seriously.
  21. OK but you are missing one key point. Why has it become inevitable now that good players want to leave two years after signing. There is something rotten in the State of Saints FC that quickly turns players off and wishing they were elsewhere. It can't be the empty trophy cabinet as they will know that when they sign on and proudly show off their new shirts. Methinks more likely Kreuger speaks with a very forked tongue. In the media he is always spouting positive spin mostly aimed at fans and other gullible audiences who want to hear what they want to hear but inside the club something very different must be going on which quickly makes players regret they ever came here. Until this is addressed and corrected the revolving door syndrome will continue unabated.
  22. Noble sentiments indeed. I'm not so sure that football is "an entertainment business". T'was never thus when we were young lads on the terraces up behind the goal up at Milton Road, it was a case of just going up there to see our stars close up in the flesh and our team win, nothing else mattered. We couldn't tell you anything about the opposition or their players unless they were really famous like Stan Matthews, Tom Finney or Nat Lofthouse in fact we were oblivious to there being another team on the pitch be it Gillingham or Manchester United. Then we'd go home and replay the match on Subbuteo except this time Saints would win 7-0 as they deserved to preserve their place at the top of the League. It wasn't about entertainment it was about just being there and seeing our heroes who by and large didn't let us down and stayed with us until they hung up their boots.
  23. It is wishful thinking to hope that individuals who think it "a laugh" to insult and denigrate others on this forum (no doubt bragging to their acolytes and cronies about it down the pub) are ever going to change their behaviour because of appeals from more decent minded and objective contributors. This forum is degenerating solely because of totally inadequate regulation and policing. Indeed, as far as one can tell there is no regulation worth the name and this failure has to be laid firmly at the doors of the site owner and the mods. Their negligence and failure to act is what is driving this whole unsavoury downward spiral. It must seem to many that "anything goes" these days so the worst offenders are having a filed day. Surely it cannot be difficult to ban people who persistently resort to personal attacks or use foul and abusive language. Those who pay to use this site must be feeling pretty aggrieved about this state of affairs.
  24. Dimwit!
  25. You hope but there's no logic or evidence to support your contention, none at all. Grasping straws really.
