  1. What if he wants to stay with Koeman and Saints? Don't rule it out.
  2. Welcome to "The Pleasure Dome" Frankie goes to Staplewood?
  3. It's an effing wind up mate right or don't you understand football at all?
  4. Probably, you are right. Cynicism apart, obviously it is not part of their planning just the outcome of unplanned consequences. My guess is that they know that fans will always judge them in the worst light possible and that early calls for ST renewal will not be appreciated by cash strapped fans. It is certainly a cash flow need in the fallow summer months of zero match day income.
  5. So we get mugged off again, pay up front before this season ends with no chance of finding out how many of our best players will bugger off in the close season. Just what they did to us last year and yeah, so it all worked out nicely in the end last time but miracles like lightning strikes rarely happen twice in the same place.
  6. Not before time either. Seems the FA's proposed English player quota idea has finally got the PL's attention.
  7. Anybody who still doubts Katherina's commitment should take note. That's an awful lot of money to put at risk however wealthy they make be.
  8. I am really pleased for him. Well deserved and not before time. Give it your best shot Ryan and the job is yours for keeps. Baines? Who he?
  9. He's gone old chap the bit about Saints and top four was just bit of political face saving as he wants to leave with a good feeling amongst hi fans. He knows as you know that even top six is BIG ask now and top four is impossible to the level of confidence that one could bet one's house on it. My only worry is what to do with my Schneiderlin shirt? Should have gone to specsavers?
  10. Don't be too harsh on the old codger, he did after all call it quits because he couldn't keep up anymore and maybe it's what we don't know that tells more of his story.
  11. What is certain 'though is that team coaches will be telling their players to put Kelvin under pressure from the get-go, long balls into the box, long range shooting hoping to cash in on any rustiness in his game at age 38. He'll need to be focused for 90 mins even if he has relatively little to do for most of the afternoon.
  12. Keep up, it's already mathematically impossible, Manure have lost 5 all season, now you're asking them to lose 3 out of 8. No chance!
  13. Gutted this morning. Fourth certainly gone so a three way battle for Europa League. Spurs maybe won't want to get involved in that again for fixture congestion reasons and remember Pochettino was anti-Europa when he was here. OK we get a bit more money for 6th than 7th so maybe that's what we are really playing for now?
  14. Unfair to take the **** on his birthday Yuki.
  15. He did, his running off the ball and the positions he took up were fantastic and several telling final balls through should have brought us at least two more goals if our strikers could actually strike! Man of the Match for me for his tireless commitment especially when we were under the cosh in the first half. What an engine the man has, still sprinting until the very end. Great job from 'Super Kev' and Morgan was his usual commanding self. Big shout up for Shane Long as well, looks like a fixture in the starting line up to me but Tadic, what has happened to the guy nothing seems to work for him anymore?
  16. I want a Ferrari and a Sunseeker and a private island retreate in the Pacific, no harm in baying for the moon as long as your feet are standing firmly on the ground.
  17. Come off it, you've been around here long enough not to posit such a daft question. Don't worry, be happy, it's only football and they'll all be gone in 7 years but you'll still be here no doubt worrying about the same thing then. Trust in Ronald!
  18. Djuricic's heart is not in it, especially it seems when he is on the bench and used as an impact player. He said recently his heart is still in Portugal so must be hoping to be recalled from his loan spell here. The only way to succeed in "the Southampton way" is 100% full commitment which clearly is not there if his brief appearance at The Bridge was anything to go by. If he wasn't prepared to give his 100% to Saints one wonders why he came here in the first place. It must be much warmer on the bench over there than here. Chances are he doesn't fancy it here at all and will move on to a different club probably in Italy next year.
  19. Certainly an interesting take on the situation at the time but I'll bet you're glad now that we were not saddled with a brainless, charmless, witless thug otherwise what sort of football would we be watching now?
  20. They play also out of a good organisation
  21. One can but wonder if the market has changed for Saints players since last summer? It is widely known how much our famed academy graduates went for and how much cash we hauled in but none have really proved that they were worth the prices paid. This summer other clubs will not be quite so gullible, desperate or willing to pay whatever we ask. Not suggesting it's got to the stage where we have to agree low prices just to offload people like Clyne but sure as hell it ain't gonna be anywhere near £30m and expecting North of £20m is probably fanciful looney tunes. I tend to agree it will be around £12/15m. Morgan - IF HE GOES - nearer £25 but I'd be cheeky and ask for £50m just because Bale went for £65m or whatever and we didn't get a sous!
  22. Well, Tadic did score did he not so why are we all complaining? 12 yards out with a static goalie, what's difficult about that? Too much is made of it, I still blame the bloody Germans who never miss.
  23. We never looked like conceding a second goal despite all their late pressure which had more than a tad of desperation about it. Absolutely brilliant performances from the team almost without exception. Sad in the end for JWP who just seems to be out of his depth at the highest level and is evidently scared to tackle anybody. Maybe Steve Davis was knackered otherwise why take him off as he was filling the gap beautifully between Victor & Morgan and feeding great balls through to the forwards. Fraser's magnificent display late on earned us a point for sure but he should have read the cross from their right that Costa headed home, watched the flight and move three yards to punch the ball away. He was ball watching for sure but not in a good way! Magical shot stopper but still does not command his box as he should.
  24. They do serve beer and nosh at the local pub and with absolutely no buffering whatsoever. Having used dozens of so-called "brilliant" live streaming sites to watch Saints in recent years, it is usually a waste of time and a real test of patience as buffering ruins pretty much every webcast including I might add the BT Sport games for which we pay a subscription so it's not just the freebies. Don't even bother now. High speed BB seems to make little difference. OK we live in the sticks and not the centre of town but from what I hear it isn't much different there. Need instructions for Apple Yosemite too please.
