Agreed. He will need a lot of support to keep him from getting too depressed and using the bottle for help... Let's hope his family can help too. Doesn't he have a daughter living close to Tim and me?

Yes. I was over recently and went to the the Gillingham game. I thought it was good value but don't expect a feast of culinary expertise! We were served pizza and roast pork roles! Hardly any atmosphere but I understand this was due to the fact the opposition was Gillingham. Some of the players are interviewed prior to the game and the man of the match afterwards. Should be better for Norwich and I would make the most of it. If you consider you get something to eat and a great seat for another 25 quid more than a regular ticket, it's worth it for a change. I will go again.

I was with three others and we all thought the same. Maybe he was winding up Thompson and we all missed it. Although we all like a wind up and general **** take, etc. Even the club host was a little embarrassed. Either way, he should keep the dressing room banter away from fans if to most of them it simply was not funny or went over their heads. Anyway, back to the pitch, if he returns to full fitness I am sure he will win his place back.

Agreed, but look how many people are eligible to vote in local elections yet decide to not bother.

I think you will find that apathy within the membership accounts for more than 3/4 of all strikes, etc.

Yes I remember that! For a treat we would sometimes have tea and a toasted bun in Tyrell & Green's restaurant -very posh! Remember Basticks next door (also very posh) and being bought a 'Lord Anthony' parker from C&A - not at all posh!

After listening to Murty in the Channon Club before the Gillingham game, I hope he doesn't simply walk back into the team. He was so arrogant and big headed it was embarrassing. He even sat down on the stage while Jake Thompson was speaking. I was very disappointed with his lack of character (off the pitch).

Do you mean the house on Moorhill rd near Telegraph rd West End? I think it's still there...

I tend to believe Mr Wenger knows what he is doing when buying players more than fans.
-
I think at the time it was more a case of the club needing the money than him really wanting to move.

I thought Baird played well yesterday. He was playing as a defensive midfielder and did a good job.

McMenemy - one of the UK's most successful managers?
Redondo Saint replied to Nineteen Canteen's topic in The Saints
Unfortunately subjects put up for debate by the OP are generally poisoned by his hatred of certain SFC past employees. Why would anyone want to question the value of LM's fee? It is based on market forces and if it was not commercial value his agency would not get work. Perhaps we should start a debate about NC's value to his employer? -
That's it - thanks!!! I remember going to see the Black & White Minstrel show at the Civic Centre (w/parents) - or maybe it was the Gaumont, and seeing the 'pad' for the first time.

+1 well put.

I saw him a few times last season at Eastleigh and rate him. Good in the air and on the ground. Similar style and build to Claus - not sure if he drives a car... Definately worth a short term contract.

Someone remind me where the helicopter landing pad was... near the Gaumont?
