  1. bloody marvellous! loved looking back at The Dell too - even the cages!
  2. We all know that the current squad will struggle in this league. Let's wait and see what AP does before we start getting the rope out and finding a tree. He knows what we need and where we need it. I've just watched the round-up of yesterday's friendlies and our performance looked embarrassing. Norwich and Leeds looked good and so did a few CCC teams against Premiership opposition. Barnsley looked really good! Getting out of this league will be tough, getting out of the CCC will be a massive task. Let's all calm down, relax and enjoy the season. If we can get a play-off place well done, but if not we will be better prepared for the next season.

    Song

In an attempt to lighten the mood; What is your most memorable song from the first season you supported SFC? I'll go first... Telegram Sam (T. Tex) 1972. I just remember a lot of long haired teenagers smoking with a pint of something (mild, Manns, etc) and swearing! It didn't take me long to get in the groove!
  4. My name is Redondo Saint, and I am a Saints supporter. "get yourselft a drink and **** off from here!"
  5. Having a bad day? Have a few beers and everything will be fine tomorrow.
  6. RL had a fiduciary responsibility to the company (SFC) which is why he had no choice in how he dealt with the matter.
  7. not yet as it's a bit cloudy by the sea. give it 3 hours and will be in the pub patio lapping up beer and sun!
  8. he left in the early '80's.
  9. I think you will find ML has set the budget, not the strategy in buying players. This will be down to Oldknow and AP - I hope.
  10. I don't like fact that our closest rivals are getting in players with the experience to win them promotion. Dailly and Bennett are both players that would have improved our squad. Maybe AP is looking to get some premiership loanees and those players are not yet available.....
  11. good news regardless of who the guy is - AP needs help and now he can concentrate more on the squad.
  12. It must have been a while since you and the monkeys were last in your local city centres?
  13. Shame. I think he may have been good for us.
  14. This is a reality check if ever there was one! Brentford used to be a pre-season friendly not too long ago!
  15. d. Absolutely no other news
  16. Ditto.
  17. "potentially deliberately" - What?
  18. If SJ decides he wants to play in a higher division so be it. He is a free agent. I agree that there won't be a gazillion pounds spent in the first 60 days, but there will be new investment. The new board will know that a mediocre side battling to stay in this division will not be acceptable to the fans. AP will also have been given assurances that money was available prior to him joining. Let's be patient my friends.
  19. Shop window = Rasiak?
  20. So you would have gone round Sainsburys and B&Q looking thoroughly ****ed off like the rest of the masses? You can't not go out on Soccer Saturday!!
  21. Eastleigh if I was back in Blighty. Couldn't really support any other league club, but do look out for Stoke's results as they are similar to SFC in some ways (players!).
  22. I'm sure he's right. However, if we get back to the Premiership we will still be a club punching above its weight. Achieving mid table or avoiding relegation would be seen as a success - as it is for about 12 clubs. Unfortunately money has made the job a lot harder.
