Last night was the first time I saw him play and think he got battered by their centre backs rather than didn't try hard. Rovers know all about him and as such kept him quiet. No conspiracy here!!!

Surely you don't suggest we should get rid of him at this stage? Let's wait until December to measure his progress and hold our nerve. We don't have many 'captains' around that can steer the ship any better....

Too early to even think about it. Christmas time will paint a more accurate picture of which direction we are moving in.... However, I will certainly not be too eager to spend almost 50 pounds again for me and my nipper if we can't give 100% for 90+ minutes. Gillingham better be a win or the natives will become restless.....

Totally gutted. First time at SMS this season and very disappointed. I had no doubt that Rovers would be a tough game and was pleased with some of our play BUT, I can't understand why we gave them so much space on the ball. Nobody seemed interested in closing them down which gave them more confidence. In the end Rovers played 3 up front. Morgan may be a good player but I didn't think he had a great game tonight at all - perhaps this league just doesn't suit him? Midfield was poor in my opinion and another reason Lambert is not scoring in open play. Pace and fitness were truly lacking tonight which for a relatively young side is alarming. How many times did we get caught in possession? I would like to know what AP told Wotton to do! Overall a good game for the neutral but very worrying for me. Staying in this league will be a success based on this performance. Let's hope for a much better performance on Saturday otherwise I will be flying back with a really ****ed off attitude.

Just bought tickets in the Kingland for my first game of the new era... oops, hope I'm no jonah.. Going Saturday too - but with the sandwich brigade!

You can get the drinks inclusive, 3 course lunch, etc, in the MLT suite but the price is 140 plus vat which is way too much in my opinion. Particularly for a Div 3 game!

I am thinking about buying tickets in the Channon Club for the Gilly game. It's a different format to previous seasons and I would appreciate any comments from those of you that have been this season. I am also going to the Rovers game so I get a good SFC fix while I am over!! cheers

How did the new players and SAG get on today?

What a great man!! He's been here for a few weeks traveling around California and staying on and off with a famous Scottish singer(!). Played this morning with my mob and got injured inside 5 minutes!!! Very pleased to report: Extremely unlikely to take the Scotland manager's job. Describes home as Warsash (God's country!). Was offered the job down the road. Would never take the job down the road after being with SFC. He "never goes back", so unlikely to be our manager again. Loves coaching and will not be out of the game for too long. He is as fit as a butcher's dog (apart from today). .... and RL "gets more bad press than he deserves".... A thoroughly good guy and doesn't mind a bit of ****-take. Watch out for his bowling shirt on TV this Tuesday!!! Bloody great day!!
