  1. Having to describe which division we are in to American "soccer" fans. Clicking on SkySports League 1, for SFC information. Wondering if we will beat Swindon and Stockport. Being ****ed off because we did not beat Swindon and Stockport. Planning my trips to include a home game against Man U or Liverpool.
  2. Yes, can't wait to choose a salad at the Southampton Arms or a turkey wrap at the Talisman!!...........
  3. there must be a lot of American's in Southampton and Portsmouth then!!!
  4. why don't you go on the Man U site and tell them that Keane was rubbish as he got booked and sent off too many times. You could also add that he was a really bad example to younger players and that they should all feel cheated. For a few weeks I was actually starting to think you may have reduced your medication and made a little sense. Now we are back to square one again.
  5. Well put. Perhaps if he spoke differently and came from somewhere else he would not be blamed as much. Glad he's gone but he was not the sole course of SFC issues. Anyway, let's move on.
  6. So do you wish we had JP back now that RL has gone?
  7. So did JP really move jobs and country without having a thorough look at his contract? What a dope. I don't blame RL for making him cover any moving costs - this is good business and something any chairman would do. I am sure JP had all sorts of bonuses based on results knowing how RL works. The fact he didn't get many good results now reflects his financial position. How many people on here would be glad he walked away with a huge wedge? He shouldn't have had the job in the first place - this was RL's error.
  8. maybe some of the decent CB's dont want to drop to our league and be minus 9 points?
  9. You think this forum is going to change international business practices? Providing no laws were broken by those involved, there is nothing that will change. The admiinistrators need to make a better job of verifying potential buyers funds- not just once at the first round but continually throughout the process - now there is a major lesson for all budding young administrators...
  10. Jesus, this thread seems to be getting out of hand. Any spokesperson/figurehead/PR guru will always talk the party line until the bitter end. I am sure MLT was given positive information until the last minute and therefore stuck with them. I don't believe he would have had any direct dealings with the financial people and therefore was acting in good faith. Business is like any sport - you keep playing until the Ref' says it's over. Time to move on.
  11. Why do you want a witch hunt? In due course I am sure these stories will unfold, but let's not get a lynch mob. There are two sides to every story and who knows which one is true. Personally, I don't give a stuff about the past stories and gossip. Let's move on and start to win some games.
  12. There appear to be a lot of things for which we need answers.
  13. Well said. Normally a new manager makes a huge impact to the squad for the first 2 or 3 games, but if the squad is not that good, then nothing improves. Afterall, you can't polish a turd. We need a decent CB and a strong midfield enforcer as captain.
  14. Correct, some people are way too suspicious. Swindon beat us 1-nil tonight, not Fry.
  15. it's a book written from a fan's view - here is someone's comments; 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful: A fan's celebration of footballing genius, 11 May 2005 By A Customer When I ordered this book I wondered if it would be the definitive biography of Le Tiss, or whether I should wait for the big man's autobiography to come out in the autumn. In fact, it turns out to be a superb emotional journey of Saints fandom, written intelligently by an author whose book on Euro 2004 I had also enjoyed. It covers the basic story of Le Tiss's life, but concentrates more on what his performances and presence in the team meant to the author: the ups and downs (and constant near-relegations) of being a Southampton fan. Great to read on the train on the way to St Mary's! Highly recommended

    Style

Now that we have had 2 competitive games, what appears to be our style of play under AP? Good to watch, technical, long ball, etc, ?
  17. How long after the first tickets were sold (with seat allocation) did it change to open seating? The lesson here must be for everyone to check the OS for any changes to the ticketing policy for cup games.
  18. if you have ever read Bally's biography, Askham really does appear to be a knob.
  19. I believe it's now the FAMOUS Lambet yellow submarine.
  20. Let's try a continental style of management/coaching. Has any one seen how well the Dutch play?
  21. super, super rick, super. super rick, super ricky lambert. i like simple.
  22. Wise comments. Let's move on and show some class by looking forward rather than slagging the past.
  23. Did he pay for his ticket?
  24. didn't the frickin player's agent check this out?!!!! SFC should charge him for the medical test cost and anything else. tosser.
