  1. Thank god I went and did something else tonight, rather than be subjected to this. The team is tired. The squad is too small. The fans need to be reimbursed. Very sad night for Southampton. The wheels have come off. Honeymoon period is over. Now we'll see how good Koeman is!
  2. We must go with youth. It's time for Reed. It's time for youth to step up.
  3. Cork was crying when he came off. I think that says it all
  4. Having again seen Harrison Reed as an unused sub against Arsenal, Monday night against Man U is surely now his opportunity to shine and maybe give one or two other youth players a chance. Why not? Would do we have to lose?
  5. Tom that's how I saw it. I'm just so disappointed with the injury situation.
  6. Whilst Koeman cannot know that a player will get injured in the last 10 minutes, you do run the risk when you use all 3 subs. This decision cost us the game tonight.
  7. I left when Alderweireld went off. The writing was on the wall. How lucky the big teams are and where's the protection for our players from the ref? I think Tadic was also feeling the effects of a bad challenge. We didn't deserve to lose. Alderweireld was magnificent.
  8. Graham Rix
  9. In Koeman I trust! I love his calmness and this will help keep our team grounded. A good manager will keep the points and belief ticking over through this difficult spell. Keep the faith and don't panic even if we lose the next two games. Which we won't.
  10. Tonight I would love to see Harrison Reed. Why not? If we believe in youth there in no better game. You never know maybe he steps up and plays Wilshere off the park.
  11. I Think we're in a difficult spell. Every team has one in a season. The question is how long and how damaging. If we lose the next two games we will be out of the top 4 and the cream will have risen to the top. When we were promoted we averaged 2 points a game. We need to try and maintain that. Big test tonight and I'm not sure a side without Schneiderlin is strong enough. How good a trainer is Koeman? We will soon find out. I would love to see Koeman pull a rabbit from the Hat. If he does I will be there to see it.
  12. We will See today if he's a good Or a great player He already plays for the second or third best team in the country.
  13. I think if people see their goal from the view of Forster then the mistake becomes very understandable. Look it's a lucky punt up field. It's not a pass more a tactical clearance up the ball up field. The thing that takes everyone by surprise is the speed of Agbonlahor. We could also argue that Fonte and Toby should have been more aware or taken better positioning. I also havent read to much about how well Frazer did with most of the crosses and his kicking. Mistakes or split second choices are part of the game. It's what makes football such a great sport.
  14. Make no mistake. Any point away from home is a good point. Aston Villa were very well organized and did not allow us to play in the final third. The were also very effective on the counter attack. Also way up our performance with an international break and some very tired players. Well done Saints.
  15. I Would Image this was The first time Mane has played against a typical English blood And Thunder right back in Hutton. I actually thought Hutton was man of the match for Aston Villa. Great leadership and example. Don't forget where he played last year. The premier league is a big step up and he will only learn from nights like this. He still looked very dangerous.
  16. Aston Villa: Guzan, Hutton, Okore, Clark, Cissokho, Cleverley, Sanchez, Westwood, N'Zogbia, Weimann, Agbonlahor ©. Substitutes: Given (GK), Bacuna, Cole, Richardson, Bent, Lowton, Grealish.
  17. This is an impressive team line up How about Villa
  18. Excited and very nervous
  19. Yes Steve Davies!!!!! These contracts are done privately.
  20. I think playing on Monday is in our interests
  21. Once England learn to use the width of the pitch and play to the strengths of Clyne and Shaw, then we will have a team that can compete with the best in the world. I believe our centre backs are England's biggest problem. Cahill can learn an awful lot from Fonte. Its called Football Intelligents. I question his. Great in defence, but our biggest weakness offensively.
  22. I Think You're all jumping the gun. Jay-Rod will do nothing until he knows he has completely recovered from his career ending injury. He will not be leaving in January unless Saints believe it's in their interests.
  23. Couldn't agree more. I was wondering whether Cahill's passing technique, prevents him passing quickly right. Cahill doesn't seem to be able to pass with his left foot. Fonte's silky passing makes Cahill look very ordinary.
  24. Good news for Saints
  25. Now it wouldn't be the Daily Mail writing this???
