  1. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
  2. He's turning Japanese; oh, yes, he's turning Japanese; at least they think so.
  3. Been watching our goal over and over. Brilliant. Sims picks up the ball from a Liverpool corner at the edge of the Saints penalty area; he runs all the way down the pitch with just six touches of the ball. And Shane Long runs even further to receive Sim's pass, and buries the ball in the Liverpool net. Wonderful!
  4. Right!
  5. "13.5 In the Semi-Final ties, if the aggregate score is level at the end of the second game an extra half-hour shall be played. If the aggregate scores are still level at the end of extra time the tie shall be decided by goals scored away from home counting twice. If the teams remain equal after this procedure the tie shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the Laws of Association Football."
  6. The Road to Wigan Pier was a non-fiction book by George Orwell (1937)
  7. Fuchs fuched up.
  8. Good ball into the box from Ward-Prowse.
  9. Nobody has set this up yet? Here you go.
  10. ... and Murphy replaces Murphy. Apparently.
  11. Substitutions to come early, then?
  12. Yes, just noticed. Thanks.
  13. I've tried. Don't think they allow for listeners overseas. FA Cup rights, I suppose.
  14. "A shot on target! Southampton forward Josh Sims hits a drive from 15 yards which is tame and never likely to threaten too much but it is on target and Michael McGovern has to save!" BBC text commentary reads sardonically so far.
  15. That's just text commentary, eh?
  16. Whispering so low, I don't hear a thing! How come you've got coverage?
  17. Me neither. They are so inconsistent!
  18. We may win, but its a joke? Strange logic. Trying to have it both ways?
  19. If "Puel is throwing the game", there is no risk. If "we are failing to get results even with our strongest line up", how is picking a team that is not the strongest line up a risk? If Puel is picking a team different from one that is not getting a result, how is that throwing the game?
  20. You are implying that there is a deliberate strategy being employed by the club to sell our best players, in order to improve its financial situation. This is not what happened. The club did not push them out to make a quick buck; those players wanted to leave. By the way, you probably meant to say profiting, not "profiteering". I don't believe there has been anything unethical in the manner the club sold these players.
  21. "... downhill ever since?" Some opinions just fly in the face of obvious facts. August, 2010: Markus Liebherr died, when Saints were in League One 2010/2011 season: Saints promoted to the Championship 2011/2012 season: Saints promoted to Premier league 2012/2013 season: Saints hire M. Pochettino and finish 14th 2013/2014 season: Saints finish 8th 2014/2015 season: Saints hire R. Koeman and finish 7th 2015/2016 season: Saints finish 6th That's measurable progress each and every year, over six years. Isn't that uphill ever since?

  24. Right. We live in an age that requires instant gratification.
