From BBC Football site: "15:31 I've just seen someone tweeted Southampton after they confirmed Saphir Taider's departure asking what they should do with their away shirt, having got Taider's name printed on it. The club have kindly offered to replace it, but seems an odd thing to get your shirt, given he'd only been at the club for three weeks..."

Of course not. Diplomatic words are usually the order of the day. Must have been some significant problems there.

Good choice - apart from Pet Sounds, probably their best album. Overlooked and under-rated. Better than Surf's Up, the very successful LP that followed it.

And Live at The Fillmore East! [When Danny Whitten was still in the band (Crazy Horse) ]

Me too. Well, maybe not every day - but a huge amount!

Yes, this is a superb album. There are three or four albums of his one could choose as his best. I picked After the Goldrush. First of his I bought (right after it came out). He's always found a way to combine sweet, harmonious folky stuff with hard, edgy electric rock. Rust Never Sleeps is a great example of that sort of combination. And the song "Powderfinger" is fantastic. Love him.

Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians. The first LP recording of this was released in 1978 by ECM. It's a piece built on a cycle of 11 chords. Mesmerising. It's quite a different experience, though, watching it on video, than listening to an audio only version. The original 1978 recording included the composer (Reich) in the ensemble. There are now five or six commercial recordings of the piece available.

Priceless! I think I should join you. What's worse, I ask you, a forum like this, or Facebook. -

Is there ANYTHING to prove that he won't? Things change. Different team. Different manager. Different tactics. Players improve. I suppose people were annoyed with you writing him off based on "the book". Let's see how things go, eh?

There was a large number of the usual suspects in the build up thread predicting that Liverpool would thrash us. Waiting patiently for some humble pie, people!

The TV commentary I listened to (which included Graeme Le Saux) were full of praise for Wanyama.

Oh ... and what a stunning goal from Clyne!

That should shut up all those doom-sayers predicting 6-0, 4-0, 3-0, etc. Saints looked really impressive. Wanyama was immense - I didn't see him make one mistake. Tackles were all there, and no wayward passing. Tadic and Bertrand were great together on the left. Ward-Prowse was very effective. Our momentum going forward was really good. We were really direct - lots of one-touch passing surging forward. Really, we wuz robbed!
