  1. Marks Liebherr with help from Coftwse rescuex us from oblivion. Not his daughter or any other members of his family.
  2. Not been here much lately then. Apart from a couple of nasty posters being insulting there isn't much on here that's even close to as nasty as many threads on this forum. Good to see at last that people are seeing the truth of the situation and that Ms Liebherr gaining control of the club has been hugely negative as those who were not won over by the dismissal of Cortese could see at the time. Having an heiress in charge of the clubbwith no interest in or live of the club was always likely to end in tears.
  3. Fulham had 2 shots on target.
  4. Smallbone
  5. Absolutely right.
  6. Seems to ignore the fact that it was Hughes who (eventually) dropped him, 2 games before Ralph arrived. Was also on the Ben h for Ralph's first 2 games. Really don't believe he was never told what the problem was. He is just an arrogant cock. Still think he will eventually be a good CB, assuming he can learn that he is not a legend in his own mind.
  7. It's not what was reported, check the date and what the report actually says. The point is was it after the team left or before? Is it the reason he didn't go or is it just a coincidence? Of course if it happened it's understandable he didn't go, although the report says she wasn't harmed. It's a shame that a player who has not been integrated into the new system much is missing out on this opportunity.
  8. Looks like that would have been the early hours of Monday morning (night out day after the game). Didn't the team fly out Sunday for training Monday?
  9. Trying to work out who is actually in Tenerife amongst all the moronic comments about how they should not have gone because they are proper naughty boys. Used to be that we were told who was on the plane. Haven't seen Ings or Lemina in any media. Also seems clear Forster isn't there, 3 keepers clearly enough.
  10. Conceding like we did in the 93 minute.is frustrating, but the real problem was conceding in the 69th. The problem was Ralph just got the tactics wrong for the game and this is an issue withe the way he sets up against teams that don't want to attack. Poch had the same problem when he was here and had to work out alternative ways of beating such opponents, he got there eventually because we developed our midfield creativity. Sadly Ralph doesn't have the players to develop in this area so I can see us continuing to struggle against bottom teams. Blaming our predicament on individual mistakes doesn't get you anywhere, all players make mistakes, the trick is to ensure that those mistakes aren't costly by scoring enough ourselves. Even Stephens' blunder really should not have cost us, there were many opportunities to regain the possession, indeed Bednarek did actually do so but his poor header gave the ball away almost as badly as Ja k's silly pass. Long time sin e I've seen so much bad play from players as they showed dealing with that error.
  11. It's any one of 6 to join Huddersfield and Fulham. 3 points covering the 6, with Brighton in free fall. Doubt Palace or. Burnley will go down, but while its only 3 points who knows.
  12. Not true. 3 points against a rival, especially one below you is worth more because you take away from them, especially at this end of the season. There's a reason why these games are referred to as 6 pointers and why yesterday's result was really a disaster.
  13. Ings was 2-3 weeks, if that was based on from the injury he could be back next game. Is that likely? Probably not, but that's what Ralph said.
  14. Suppose it was Charlie ?. Believe what you want mate, though what you say makes some, sense, not the same as what Shane alleged. Having a clause that says we only purchase if he is available for more than, say, 0 games wouldn't surprise me. Would cover situations such as what sadly happened recently.
  15. He wasn't. Watch again. Baird was on the line, Telfer? Was ball watching, Baird realised and rushed out and tried to put a tackle in but was too late. Blaming Baird for that is just plain wrong.
  16. Don't believe a word of it. You haven't seen the contract, nor have I. Shane's comments are bull**** in my opinion, there is no credible source for this and it.doesn't make any sense. The sooner people accept that Ings is our player the better. I understand some people don't like it but it's done.
  17. Professionalism is exactly what Nantes are showing. If you had said they could have shown some compassion you would have had a point.
  18. At least one thing good, Elyounoussi will struggle on the positives ?
  19. Already played for England 12 times, won the Toulon tournament. No chance he will be as good as 16m Norwegian international though so shouldn't be in the team as far as some of the hard of thinking on here would have you believe.
  20. Not dim at all, seems reasonable that they should have been paid the first instalment when it was due (which was probably before the plane was tragically lost). Cardiff are apparently questioning the paper work, that seems more dim. Its a terrible situation, but stalling on legit payment is bad form.
  21. Naive, no is not a strong word in contract law. We will also have already paid a substantial instalment so technically "we don't still have the cash". Sooner some people realise we have already bought Danny Ings the better, there is no getting out of it even if we wanted to. The loan is a technicality.
  22. But what's that got to do with Slattery? Who did we let go in January that we should have replaced and would then have been in the team instead of Slattery. Are you suggesting we should not have let Davis go and that we tried to replace him? Very odd, don't think many here will agree with that idea. As far as I can see the only players we tried to bring in and failed were a RB (the Danish guy at Genk to replace Cedric) and the striker from Brum (to replace Gabbi I suppose). Your attiitude problem is that you (appear to) criticise players for no justifiable reason, seemingly for bbeing that have come through the Academy, which is very odd for someone who claims to support Saints (I really don't know whether you do). Most Saints supporters tend to support Academy players, it is after all where mny of our club "heroes" have come from in the past (if not the Academy then our youth). Bringing through young homegrown players was once what this club was all about, with a smattering of outside superstars to make it work. Thats why Channon, Le Tissier, Holmes, the Wallaces, even Shearer, Benali, Dodd are held in high regard by true Saints supporters. Slagging off nearly every kid that comes into the team because you have a problem with thte club's transfer activity is just plain stupid, and it ****es people off. You still haven't answered who you would have played instead of Slattery on Saturday. The only option that was available seems to be Moi, who has proved once again that bringing in expensive signings doesn't work more often than it does. Flop after expensive flop. Give the kids a go is my view, most of them are certainly no worse than some of the ones that we got rid of, or even some that are still here (Long).
  23. Just BS from one poster on here.
  24. Seems reasonable to me getting money for his services, difference between mid League One and top League Two is not that great and working with Tisdale, Oakley and Butters is probably a lot better than Cloughie.
  25. It wasn't of prime importance to beat Palace or Burnley, and to get points from both is OK (drawing with Palace was disappointing, while getting a point from Burnley could be seen as a bonus). But ist vital to beat Cardiff, they are the team below us and beating them will open up a gap (5 points) while losing will mean we are 1 behind, a true 6 pointer. Beating Cardiff, Fulham and Huddersfield are the most important things to do to avoid the drop. Beating Burnley and Palace would only have been important if we were targeting finishing higher than 17th. In my view Huddersfield are already down and another 3 point gap will confirm Fulham as well. We need to start to firm up the 3rd spot and beating Cardiff is the way to do that, irrespective of other games. 5 point gaps are difficult to close, and with goal difference you can make that effectively 6. I don't like the idea of must win games but Cardiff is really. We are actually pi king up points regularly now can't see Cardiff bettering us by 6 points in 12 games.
